If you have Avis preferred, your car is waiting with no need to queue at the counter. This makes all the difference after a long flight. The shuttle service is exemplary and car check in a breeze. Highly recommended.

Total nightmare. There are signs to drop the car off in terminal 5. If you follow those into the parking garage, once you arrive, there’s a sign saying they’ve moved to arrivals however you cannot drop your car there either. The actual places to drop your car off are about 10 mins away from terminal 5. Shame on Avis for not removing their signs and making directions more clear. It was over 45 mins of wasted time trying to find where to drop the car.

Was late getting back to the airport last night and realised we were at a different terminal then when we arrived. The guys on reception and the bus driver were great. They had us checked in and at the right terminal in 20 mins. Just made it in time for bag drop. Five stars for customer service.

Great experience other than 2 points 1 i was blind sided with a 60 dollars charge for a deductible i was told i pre selected, checked through the booking and never requested this.
Second 10 days after i have been charged multiple admin fees again not mentioned in any contract or agreement after the fact., pay cash as your card will be charged for misc fees. Look up reviews for avis bracknall and you will see this is a trend.

Trying to find the pick up spot at terminal 2 is near impossible. Signs are so small and to know stop 8 is for Avis you would need to be a fortune teller!!

This is obviously operated by organized crime. They wanted to charge me for 2 barely visible scratches on the hood of a 25000 mile car was able to get out of this with the supervisor saying this was abusive. Then, they told be I brought the car 1.5 h to late on a 2 week rental of a 1000pound or so. They charge me an extra complete day for this. About 170 pound. This miserable customer service at its worse. Steer clear. Just fascinating level of frustrating the customer first instead of being of goodwill for long term business relationship.
