Enterprise Car & Van Hire - Crawley

Would give a 0 if I could. We are from the US and rented a car for a day during our honeymoon. there is no such thing as a congestion charge in the US so we had no idea this would be something we needed to pay. The rental place said nothing about this charge or how to pay it, which we would have paid if we knew about it. Then we got an email saying how we now are paying a ticket over 5x the price of the charge plus an “administration fee.” Worse, we got the ticket on the road you MUST drive on to get to the return enterprise in London. Terrible service to not warn someone about the charge they clearly would know nothing about. We have been trying to contact them for weeks about this with little communication and no direct number given. Very disappointed in the courtesy of the customer service for not warning us. Or even a simple “did you pay the congestion charge?” upon return of the car.

1. + Booking over phone was easy and quick
2. - Upon arrival we were informed they don't take cash or contactless payment
3. - Van provided had significant damage to passenger side wing mirror, the girl assured us it was roadworthy as indicator bulb still flashed.
4. - When we arrived at out first destination, it was noted that the drivers side indicator bulb was not working. Replaced at our cost as they were too busy to sort it out.
5. + Van was new, drove well and was fit for purpose
6. + Overall cost was decent value
7. - Wasted time, on collecting van day one sorting payment and adding my wife at extra £60 cost so that she could use her card when she had no intention to drive.
Overall, we won't use them again, bang ordinary to be honest!

Amazing customer service, very friendly staff and not pushy on the add-ons, Hannah was great checking me in quickly and also very friendly. I booked a manual and received an automatic at no extra cost which I was very happy with and the return was also dealt with efficiently and with a smile. I wouldn't use any other company when hiring.

Couldn't supply a van to cover my reservation made 4+ weeks in advance. Conned into signing up to car club to use that van even though mileage and diesel on them terms didn't suit my needs. Was promised time and time again by Brad it would be the same as my original reservation. Guess what, charged both mileage and diesel. Complaints made to branch and car club, not received a reply in 6 months! Would never use enterprise again and would not recommend.

From start to finish the service I received from the team at Enterprise Crawley was phenomenal.

I had to hire a vehicle quickly due to a family emergency and during the Christmas break I thought it would be impossible however the team at Enterprise Crawley put me completely at ease and made my first time renting a vehicle completely stress free.

There was an issue with my address identification check and Lydia called me straight away and sorted this out within minutes.

Upon arriving to collect the vehicle Greg greeted me so warmly and made the whole experience a complete breeze.

The car itself was lovely and a dream to drive and upon return a young gentleman greeted me again with the same friendly and warm demeanour that had been shown by Greg and Lydia.

Overall a complete pleasure to hire a vehicle from Enterprise Crawley and I certainly will not be going anywhere else if I need a rental again in the future.
