Complete travesty!!! Staff are rude, unhelpful, don't give ashit, totally disorganised, no where to park your car on return. Other customers abusive due to frustration. Avoid Hertz if you can. One star is too much but is the lowest I can go. Hertz service is in free fall. SUCKS

5 Stars ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
Still good.
Car park still under construction 🚧
Which has more to do with Bristol Airport than Hertz.
Staff friendly, almost too friendly. 😁.
Cars was in excellent condition.

To avoid extra charges.
Always check for dents, windscreen, wheels and scrapes before you drive away.
Don't smoke in the car or leave it filthy.
(So many people don't get the basics right).

Review 2017
They had my keys ready for me when I walked in the door. The car they have me was on top condition. I hire cars all the time and I know all the pit falls. There was no shocks here. The only complaint I have was that the car was parked an awkward position which is scary because regardless of the car you are in an unknown vehicle. The odds of doing damage are quite high at this stage. However still not worth giving them any less than 5 stars as this could be due to airport renovations.

Nice experience at this store: Tire went flat a few kilometers after leaving the rental yard. Put on the spare and drove back to agency. They took my word that the tire warning light was previously on, gave me an upgraded car, and didn't fuss about the flat. No charges. A nice memory (esp. together with meeting a local who helped me with the tire and offered tea!) Have been meaning to write this review for while.

Impossible to reach Hertz to warn them my plane would be late and cannot be before agency closure hour. The phone number does not work. I tried several times during the day. Also nobody waited me and I had to find another solution. Moreover no show fees were invoiced. Terrible experience

Apart from Easirent this is the worst experience I’ve ever had renting a car!! The lady at reception asked if I wanted to upgrade for £200, to which I agreed. We’ll, the snazzy car came full of scratches and cobwebs and spiders inside.

As the drop-off day was Saturday there wasn’t anybody on duty and we left the car as instructed and put the keys in the box.

Imagine my delight when the invoice comes £85 higher with extra charges for “registration” petrol - we returned it full - and VAT, which hadn’t been mentioned.

We will be fighting this and luckily living in Spain we can return a charge to our credit card.

THEY ARE LYING, THIEVING CROOKS!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

It was the best! Thank you very much. Anita was simply brilliant - the best customer service I've had from anywhere, for anything. She made the whole process clear and easy to understand, and I think most importantly, Anita made me feel less frightened about driving on the "wrong" side of the road. :D I will always use Hertz when I come to England, thank you again!

Very unpleasant experience with the car rental. The lady at the counter forced a paid upgrade although they failed to organize car in ordered configuration. She also didn't include company details on the bill so had to spend extra time on getting proper invoice. Overall horrible experience.

Hired a car from Bristol Airport and no problem at all until we returned the car and found out we had been charged £44 for being 22 min late back. Had the customer agent at the desk not written down the wrong postcode and in fact Bristol Airport itself where we ended up in the actual airport car park where we had to pay to get out and then follow a shuttle bus back to Hertz we wouldn’t have been late. We tried to call through various numbers but no answer or unavailable to take your call although finally managed to speak to someone in the new booking team, explained the situation to them and they said that there was a 30 minute allowance. When we returned the car and the agent checked it for damage etc there was no mention of a £44 for being late, which by the way is more expensive than a full day hire of the car. Hertz have received an email and a copy of the rental agreement with the WRONG postcode written on it but I’ll not be holding out for a favourable response if at all I hear anything.
