Do not - I repeat NOT - hire a vehicle from this company. After an accident that was not my fault I was given a like for like pickup truck through the other parties insurance company. Along come AMT with a brand new vehicle, so far so good. However when it was dropped off I found it highly suspicious that they had pointed out that there was a sticker that had been removed leaving behind some tack, but did not mention this on the damage paperwork. When I returned the car 3 weeks later, 2 gentlemen went over the car with a fine tooth-comb for a total of just over 20 minutes, taking photos and inspecting every last inch of the car. They pointed out the sticker tack and tried to make out that I had put a sticker on the car and then removed it, threatening that if the tack didn't come off I would be charged. Since I had a suspicion these guys would be out to try and claim the excess from the start (since I didn't buy their ludicrously expensive zero excess insurance), I had made sure that I didn't use the pickup for its real use (I normally use my pickup for rubble, firewood etc.) - instead I treated it as a car just driving the kids to and from school, odd bit of shopping etc. Thank God I didn't put it to it's true pickup use! A week after it's return, sure enough I got an email from the insurance company stating AMT had put in a claim to have the back tailgate resprayed (£316.10) for damage!! I was gobsmacked as I knew they had signed off the car when it left our property knowing full well it was in perfect condition. The pictures are attached, judge for yourself if that's £300 worth of damage! Eventually after compiling evidence and CCTV, showing how their employees had gone over every inch of the car and signed it off before they left our property, they decided to drop their claim 3 weeks later. I was stressed out of my mind in the meantime as I cannot afford that type of money. Stay away from these cowboys, they're out to make a lot more than just their rental charge and put you under maximum stress.

I turned up to hire a pre scheduled vehicle. On arrival I was spoken to by a smug, rude, cocky and unhelpful male sat at the desk.
I was refused the vehicle hire as he said I did not have the correct utility bill, regardless that I had driving licence and many different bank statements. I was further told that too many people were hiring vehicles and running people over, implying I was a potential terrorist!!
I later purchased a 4x4 so I won't need to visit these Cowboys again. Stay well clear of this company if you want decent customer service!

Absolute horrific company AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! took the hire car back with out warning, it was a replacement vehicle from Audi whilst mine was being repaired, tresspaded onto my land, through my gate, my wife was in the house with our 5 week old baby, didn’t knock to tell us, then drove off with money, the baby seat and a laptop bag, called to ask what was going on spoke to the rudest lady in the world GEMMA FARROW, who made no apologies and would not return my items!!! The police and my solicitor have been informed. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.

Can see the headlines in the SUN now, “ Audi and its business partners steal mans baby seat!!” 😳😳😳

Started well brought the car out really nice then it all started, 26/08/29 attached my trailer then of we went to work, that same day steering heavy trouble with driving it called them back that same day explained and this chap called Stuart said try without trailer that evening I did no change. 27/08/20 flat on car must of been slow puncture as was able to pump up take for repair. Then the big one happened car shaking gear not shaking engine management light and other lights came on called them streight away explained and the steering was still heavy. they said will sought another car as of yet no other car. This is still on going it is now 05/09/20 still have the same car outside cannot use and they have done nothing. Self employed loss of income,. All this come about as from accident insurance sorted so they thought even they too are having problems contacting them. Complete terrible company one I will never use again.

This has got to be the best run lease hire company out there. Organised, efficient, friendly. Great service and never anything to complain about. I think the manager is female and it shows in how the place is run(I hope I’m allowed to say that and haven’t offended anyone). Full marks to this depot.

Bought a 2018 Range Rover sport from AMT with Gerry being the salesman.

Deal eventually got done but I would not say I was dealt with the best. Felt like I was chasing for answers and the deal to be done. Luckily was done in the end. Even trying to contact regarding after sales issues I had no answer from Gerry himself.

My main issue is the after sales care I was told they had to get the spare key from head office which is based at a different location to AMT.
Which was absolutely fine was told this will take a few days. No issues from my end.

In the mean time they had taken a £500 deposit for the V5 because my number plate had to be put on retention. I received that had sent that special delivery and they had received that the next day. It took me over 10 days to get my £500 refund and in that time I had no answer regarding my key.

Me being told each week someone will ring you on “Tuesday” never received one call back. In the end had to get in touch with trading standards and ask them how I move forward with this. When I got in touch after 5/6 weeks of this hassle over a spare key. They had finally told me that they had no spare key and would pay for the key.

I had to go out my way to a Land Rover dealership to find a dealership get a quote and have them pay them directly.

Their clearly is no after care customer service at AMT. From a household with 4 vehicles that change their vehicles every 14-18 months I think AMT have just missed out on a regular customer. Honestly would not bother recommending or going to AMT.

I purchased a Porsche 981s Boxster and the experience couldn’t have been better. Please consider AMT as their service is first class. I’d like to also thank Chris for his efforts in arranging a video of the vehicle and dealing with my bank on the collection day, all very helpful! 10/10
