Terrible customer service, treated like some kind of criminal! The paperwork needed was well in excess of anything needed by any other company and no warning given so completely wasted our time and had to source the van elsewhere. No smiles or help from the staff, just arrogant, rude and derogatory - made me feel like I had done something wrong!! Norwich Car and Van hire were the complete opposite - friendly and helpful.

Friendly and easy to deal with. James, the employee who dealt with all the paperwork when I arrived to hire the vehicle on Saturday 19th September, could not have been more helpful. Returning the vehicle on Monday morning was a smooth, fast and trouble free transaction. Well done Thrifty Norwich. I will certainly hire from you next time.

Absolutely Pathetic are the only words I can use regarding this Norwich location, I have never experienced such bad unprofessional service in all my years of renting cars, I only used this location due to its proximity of where I was.
The attitude of the "Computer says NO" lookalike rep was pathetic to say the least, it was like his job was to give reasons why I couldn't hire, it all went like this;
1: I hired and payed online and printed out 2 copies as stated, incidentally I paid with my HSBC debit card with no problem.
2: He then found a problem with my UK licence, he couldn't get it out of the protective case, despite having my passport and paper part of the license so computer said no but after checking with an adult it was then OK.
3: I then had to use there computer to show my flights in and our of the UK, again taking up a lot of time.
4: Then he requested a UK credit card for the some of £150, I only had my HSBC Australian Debit Card, which I had paid for the rental with, but Computer said NO again, hence unable to hire the car I had paid for and jumping through hoops like I have never ever experienced, as a note it says Credit or Debit card on their Rental Voucher, nothing about it being UK, but he stated it was hidden in other terms and conditions
As I said this company and its staff are absolutely Pathetic, as a final insult to me and my intelligence he said they do not have to refund my money back, well lets see as I will take them to court and set bailiffs on them if they dont pay.

I rented BMW 320 estate and it was literally brand new (2017 and only had about 1500 miles). The car was powerful and very comfortable to drive. The staff was nice. I do recommend renters getting extra insurance as it will bring down the deposits and liabilities to £250.

Always found this place ideal to hire a car from nice clean cars new if not nearly new. Shame there is no customer parking so alternative arrangements needed to get to and from office.

Had the 2019 plate Ford focus st line lovley car top noch service i will be coming back agen hopefully you will have a l200 in that i can have next time

Site is rubbish tells you one thing go in tells you another amazed still going bad business model when staff can't be bothered to assist you either

Do not use this company as insurance car or van hire. You have to take every small scratches and chips photos before you taking the vehicle otherwise you end up paying excess.
