I spoke to them on the phone and got a price range of circa £300.00 with worse case of £980.00 + VAT and got asked to visit so they could have a closer look yet when I arrived it was automatically going to cost me £980+ VAT (Or more) and they hadnt even looked at it. I asked what would happen if i said yes and there were major issues and if it cost more (could I pay installments, etc) and I was told no, i would have the bits put in a box in my boot - I still can't believe they made me drive to them to tell me that without even looking! - VERY UNPROFESSIONAL

Brilliant job and very professional have fixed my works van numerous times at short notice and always at a fair and reasonable price . Sarah in the office is always very helpful and makes a great cup of tea. Brilliant company and will keep using them in the future 👍

Fantastic service here. Repaired the gearbox in our car a full day ahead of schedule (including doing additional work that wasn't in the initial time estimate). Our car enjoyed being with The Mechanical Workshop so much it almost immediately broke something else so it could go back! The second visit was just as good as the first. Highly recommended.

Took my Q5 in with DSG clutch issues. Simon and his team diagnosed new wet clutch required. Car now drives like new. Clutch smooth as silk. Very professional job done

Absolutely clueless when it comes to complex tiptronic gearbox repairs. They have kept my car for 4 months (This is going back few years back). Paid them in thousands and even assisted them with some of the work they needed doing by pointing them to specialist cnc toolers in London, for the gear casing repairs. Simon refused giving my car back and asked for the whole quotation to be paid yet was unable to repair the gearbox. All in all £4k spent and eventually his dad agreed to give the car back for an additional sum of £1K and as the car was not drivable, on that night left the car in the village location to collet it in the morning with a recovery truck. My car was vandalised during the night. They will probably respond saying never had you me a customer. They know exactly which car !!! Do yourself a favour, take your car and business elsewhere. You have been warned.

What amazing service! If we could give you 6 stars we would. Dealt with a very complicated situation with our warranty company and did an excellent job on our Focus automatic gearbox at a reasonable price. Can't thank you guys enough. Would highly recommend.
