The system you required didn't not involve a sound tec as, according to our records, you did not ask or pay for a full night sound operator.
The job we were paid for was a simple set up which includes: sound testing to make sure equipment is in working order, sound levels are left to the hire person, as we did explain, roughly when hired, the system was left by me, set up and in working order but needed fine tuning by an operator which I explained and showed them how it was to be done and how to work the desk.
Sorry for any inconvenience, but we were on the end of the phone if you had problems and we could have talked you through it and helped you.
Many thanks,
Kays Electronics
Whilst their website initially appeared quite basic, on calling them they were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Kays provided us with all the required PAT documentation for the hire and the equipment all came packed in easy-to-carry cases; the speakers were easy to set up and could be used 'plug and play' with our iPod / iPhone / Laptop for the music as Kays provided all the required cabling.
Finally, their location was so convenient for our venue and the price was extremely reasonable - all-in-all an excellent service, thank you guys very much!!
I have collected the Trio 930s and it is now badly damaged. When I collected the Transceiver the man who claimed to be the person who serviced it said he isn't an engineer trained or qualified to fix electronics. He said he sent it to Bobs home so Bob could test it at his house where he has antennas for Ham radios.
It is now damaged yet the repair man claimed he fixed it...
I wouldn't recommend anyone take any electronic to be repaired. I have been charged for pandemic holding of the device, I have also had my first review here removed and I have notice a few have been removed.
I have documentation, I have phone text from Bob who stated the repair charge is £850 ect
If the transceiver was repaired as he claimed and when you collect it it's badly damaged you only have your own mind to understand what's happened.
It's going to a engineer Ham radio repair company and I'm taking this further because of what has happened when all we required was a service.
