Despite being advertised as Sticky-Grilled Jerk Chicken, the sauce itself has all the spice heat of your average plain bbq sauce (aka none). The sweetness in the flavour would have made a great BBQ flavour but this lacked the trademark lip-numbing peppery heat I know and love from jerk.

Portion-wise, we ordered both a small and large portion of jerk chicken with rice n peas, however both boxes when they arrived were indistinguishable in size, and had equal amounts of meat in both portions (~3 thighs), the only discernable difference being an additional slice of plantain in one box. For an additional cost of £2 this felt ridiculous.

The Mac and Cheese has a very basic sauce within the pasta itself, and is barely just a plain portion of pasta with cheese on top

The plantain was ok, but it's hard to go wrong there. Portion-wise it was hardly worth the £2.6 pricetag for 5 slices.

Overall, whilst a tolerable meal in itself, its certainly not what we wanted nor expected when it came to it.

Absolutely disgusting! My food came cold it was rammed in to a container first time trying and will never be going back I thought you got pasta aswell in meal but I got no pasta or plantain

When the box first opened , I had a good experience when ordering, the last two occasions , they had missed x2 items out of my order and the food was so dry and cold it was horrible , I Rang the restaurant and the girl just said “next time call us” … to be honest with you there’s not going to be a next time… no part refund was suggested nothing, lucky deliveroo reimbursed me for the missing items..the portions used to come in their lovely boxes and these last x2 times came in little foil containers and hardly any food was in them , I was proper shocked when I opened it to know I paid £30 in total for 2 of these boxes mostly filled with air.
It’s so disappointing as when I first knew about the box when it opened it was wicked , not sure if the takeaway service has gone down hill due to main restaurant being open ? the last time I ordered the food tasted like a dry cold piece of cloth ! Upsetting

Judging by the way there aren't any replies to the reviews I guess nobody cares. Believe me it is a shame,the food can be delicious but customer service, lack of business skills and music blaring out like it's a nightclub has deprived people of Delicious Caribbean food.

I've been to the box a good few times but after today's visit it may be the last. I'd ordered curry goat and curry chicken, both with rice and peas. What I got was a large chicken curry with rice and peas and a small chicken curry with plain rice. That was Disappointing but then to get 3 tiny pieces of chicken just made it worse. I hope the Box ups its game as the food can be Delicious

Seriously why haven't things improved, the food in the past has been to die for. If the place doesn't want to serve Seriously good food then shut up shop.

I highly recommend going to try it out. I found them on Deliveroo but i prefer to come and see them in person.

They didn’t give me the plantain twice, on 2 occasions I’ve ordered it, without saying why, or if they run out. I had chicken thighs box, the meat was tasty, but the service is a mess. It seems there are different, new, inexperienced people behind the till each time we go there, and they don’t know how the menu works. It’s quite a long wait to get the food, while the music is blasting on the TV in reception too loud for comfort while waiting half hour. I wish they’d get better at running the shop so we could enjoy it more.

Visited here a few times now and never disappointed!!!
Takes me about 30-35 minutes to drive here but definitely worth it,
Although they do get busy and sometimes you have to wait a little longer(started ordering whilst on my way to avoid the waiting time) the staff are always chatty and friendly.

My usual order is the fried chicken in jerk sauce 😍 and pepper steak, although I will definitely be trying more of the menu overtime.

I would say that they could give extra piece or 2 of plantain as I do think 1 isn’t enough for a meal.
Other than that I really can’t fault them!

Lovely restaurant, lovely staff and it’s always a good atmosphere…highly recommended
