Great experience from start till finish. We had another quote from a shop in Guildford, but as we were on our way to Guildford to confirm the order we spotted Godalming carpets which were on our doorstep so popped in on the chance they could match the price as would prefer a local firm. I am glad we did, they were very welcoming,especially as I had my 2 very excited children with me who were looking forward to having a new carpet! They found a carpet as good as the one we were going to get and managed to a a slightly better price. They arranged to come and measure the room at a time that was convenient, the man that came to measure was punctual. When the carpet fitter came, again he was punctual and professional. Overall we were very happy with our shopping experience at Godalming carpets and would recommend them. We will certainly use them again.

I bought a sisal country-style carpet with fitting, and to my surprise found that all-in it was just as cheap as at Homebase.

Godalming Carpets & Flooring came out for a free home-sizing visit before a purchase had been made, and they provided some useful advice.

The fitter was prompt, tidy and skilled. They flawlessly fitted a very technical setup of some stairs and two bedrooms, including laying carpet around an awkward-shaped wardrobe and down a long, 5cm-wide strip (too narrow for hands).

The result far exceeded my expectations.

The showroom itself was well-lit, and conveniently located withing walking distance of Godalming town centre, just towards Guildford. There's a deceptive amount of parking at the showroom, so it's suitable for anyone in the Guildford and Godalming area.

Barry was rather rude to me and about my property. Given the chance to apologise he hasn't bothered. It's over two months since the carpet was fitted and I'm still waiting! I'd recommend finding a less supercilious carpet supplier if I were you. I won't be using Godalming carpets again, as I get the impression Barry treats younger people who are female in this way often. Very condescending.

We found the staff very friendly and helpful. They came and measured up our house and fitted the carpets in good time. Highly recommended.
