Came here after going to the burnt stump and getting appalling service there.

ALL staff seemed to be good at there jobs, Polite there was no waiting for food. Just go up and slap it on your plate. YOU WILL NOT GO AWAY HUNGRY HERE!!!

All food was cooked as it should be. Beer tasted good.

And all at a good price.

A real joy to go to this pub and will be going here more.

A big thanks to all at inn :D

Big car park, needs it for the summer. Nice place to have a drink when it's read hot and sunny after a Sunday drive. The carvery is good, generous cuts depending on who is serving. A range of beers and beverages. Can be cosy on the winter time.

It's true what a few people have said about timing your meal-go too late for an afternoon lunch and the heat lamps have left some of the food terribly dried up.
The staff are usually ok , apart from the middle aged woman who runs the small bar where orders are taken for breakfasts and morning coffee, between 8.30 and 12.00, who is rude and whose customer service skills are non existent. She seems to resent being asked to do anything-about time she tried an alternative career!

Amazing food and outstandingly cheap price. Huge selection of food with just the standard meal and you can have as many vegtables, potatoes chips and as much gravy as you could want as well! The meat was succulent and not dry like some reviews say, in a lovely location and staff are excellent. Can't believe I nearly didn't come because of bad reviews. Trust me it's an amazing place with amazing food.

The location is nice, picnic tables outside and good car parking. Unfortunately, I stopped for a breakfast and my food experience was disappointing: Many of the breakfast items were empty (I had to wait for quite a while). There was nothing bad, eventually the cooked breakfast I had was just adequate. It could be just bad timing ie the end of the breakfast time so I would try it again.

Definitely wouldn't come again. The only star it deserves is due to the prices being cheap (most of the time). Carvery on a bank holiday and weekends is £7.79 instead of £4.49 on weekdays. The food has been stood and was very dry. The latte we ordered was barely warm, even though it was only just made. Dirty plates are left on tables with nobody clearing up, even though members of staff are not doing anything. The surfaces and carpet next to our table are dirty. Lack of napkins on tables. If you want a carvery, do yourself a big favour and go to Toby.

This place does a lovely Sunday roast. At good prices. Kid friendly. Gets super busy though so you need to time it right. Sometimes hard to get a table and when you do you have to clean it yourself. Also the toilet are not good.

One of the Crown Carvery group of pub/restaurants. I always have the carvery when I visit, very nice and reasonably priced. 4 cokes, 2 standard and 2 large carvery was £29 ish. Staff can be a little snappy and grumpy when busy though!
