The ruins of Castle, mighty river tweed, and Royal Bridge of Berwick makes the wonderful history of this border town come alive. Great backdrop and the park overlooking the bridge was an oasis

An open (free) set of ruins right on the waterfront, well worth including in a day out or when talking a walk on the river front. Fairly easily accessible with a flat path leading round to it.

Great place full of history, had a lovely walk around the walls, harbour and riverside. Bought a few items from the local shops, had amazing pies from the butchers and yummie ice cream by the car park, as we stayed in the large overflow carpark ' the castle ' it was free

Historic castle ruins that are worth a walk from the town centre to see. There's not a great deal left of the castle, but the setting makes it special. From here there are great views up and down the river Tweed, and the railway viaduct is truly impressive, towering over the ruins.

How amazing to walk around on top of a very historical place in the UK. Was a privilege to see this amazing town.

Loved Berwick Upon Tweed. If you like history and architecture it's the place to go. Lovely walking around the town walls exploring the ramparts or looking out to sea and marvelling at the magnificent houses. Climbing up the castle ruin and the Riverside walk. Lots to see and do.
