Our cats (very spoilt) hate catteries and usually rightly so. We have always sought to leave them in what we've thought to be high quality catteries but have to say that in the main we have been very disappointed. High Point Cattery is different it's a new Cattery and only a couple of miles away from where we live. We are very impressed by the facilities, cleanliness and warmth and caring nature of the owners. This is the first Cattery where I can genuinely say that I have felt happy to leave 'the boys' (three cats).

The boys were placed in a double room with two outside areas. They were provided with blankets, beds, toys and scratch poles. Wendy asked on booking what food they preferred, she then did a special trip to get what the normally ate, however cats being cats had sussed out that Gourmet was on offer and chose that instead!

When we arrive to collect 'the boys' they were content and settled. Wendy had worked out their personalities and her liking of them came across. Once home they resumed their normal behaviours, unlike the last time at a different Cattery when they all acted strange and had lost weight. We are delighted with the care and attention 'the boys, received at High Point Cattery, and we will definitely be returning. We have already recommended High Point to others.

We hate catteries (well one was OK but it was a long drive away), our servants for some reason disappear every so often for two to 14 nights (we know exactly as we count every second). We have to get in (I mean put in) our carry boxes, 'CB' doesn't mind but we hate it. We are put in the car - we hate the car. 'C' cries. I make a very strong protest by peeing in my clean carry box!

Usually when we get to the Cattery our servants put us into quite a small room, there are no blankets or toys other that what we take with us. Our servants they look sad and upset as if they're going to cry. They then leave us. The new humans feed us but sometimes the food isn't good and there's not always enough. Catteries are boring, we can't go out - we are outdoor cats, there is no one to talk to or fetch and carry for us. We don't like Catteries at all.

This time it was different, yep the carry baskets and journey were the same, 'C' cried, I peed. But when we got to the Cattery everything was different, you ought to have seen the room we were given - a double suite! It was spotless. We had a room for eating and another for sleeping with two play areas. There were toys, scratch poles, climbing frames, beds with blankets - wow it was amazing.

The lady called Wendy spoke to us, she seemed to really like us. We thought Wendy might even be able to be our new servant a bit like those at home, she talked to us all. I was quiet at first while I made my assessment, 'C' went all stupid and shy but Wendy spent a lot of time trying to make him happy. 'CB' was just 'CB' he carried on as normal, nothing gets to him - he's tough. Wendy very soon appreciated that I was the boss - of cats and humans.

The food we had was amazing, we had sussed out that Gourmet was on offer, we chose that over our usual food, I didn't even have to protest to get what I wanted!

Our servants came to collect us after two days all fussy, giving us kisses and loves. To be honest we were all pretty chilled. There was a point when I thought that could have stayed longer. Our new servant did a brilliant job, in fact I quite liked her and 'C' even let her fuss him.

So it comes to the crucial question - would we stay here again? Having spoke to 'C' and CB' the answer is a definite 'Yes' (although we still don't know why our servants have to go away). We are not going to tell our servants that we actually enjoyed it as it is very important to keep them feeling guilty.

Thank you Wendy - we love you xxx
Yours sincerely
'L' on behalf of 'C' and 'CB'

I cannot recommend this cattery more highly. We have two cats and in the last 12 months we have had to go away many times and without this wonderful place I would have found it very difficult leaving my cats so often. Their accommodation was spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable with a warm shelf for when the weather is cold. But the very best thing about this cattery is Wendy who looked after them in such a caring way, really got to know my cats personalities and spent time with them every day. I would give the High Point Cattery ten stars !

Our cats stayed here for a week in June. Wendy was very accommodating to our cats needs, providing the type of food they are used to and also their treats. She also posted photos on Facebook so we could see they were doing ok. We have booked the cats in again later in the year and would highly recommend High Point Cattery.

If you worry what will happen to your puss while you are away worry no more. Take him/her to High Point Cattery and they will thank you.
The cattery is The Ritz of the catteries, the best we have left our furry friends with. It's spotlessly clean, well appointed with full creature comforts. Wendy, the owner is a lovely lady who really loves cats and takes very good care of them. Our puss recommends her establishment to all cat owners who care about their kitties' welfare.
Five star+

Wendy was Lovely! Looked after our Fred whilst we went for a wedding one weekend and she was great. Kept us updated and coaxed him out (as he is usually shy) and gave her own time to get to know him. Genuinely lovely woman and brilliant cattery!

A lovely place for your cats to stay. Wendy is really nice and knows exactly how to look after your pets. Individual pens or two which are conjoined (advise to book early if you need this.). We have been using Highpoint for a couple of years now and will always try to use her whenever we go away.

My rescue cat stayed for 5 nights mid June for the first time. Although he was scared at first after a day or so he'd soon settled in with his friendly & vocal character coming out.
Lovely, bright & clean cat rooms.
Would def recommend.
