Slightly overpriced but has essentials

Has been done up recently but is still mediocre. Toilets are pretty good and I approve very much of the lack of gender assignment to them. Difficult to find seating sometimes and I don't make much of the food personally. Pool tables make for good fun and the union shop has some nice surprises sometimes.

Lacking. Possibly one of the worst SU's in the country. The potential they have is limitless but they seem keen on keeping a dance floor they never bother to throw events in and only keep three pool tables and a bar. It's also only open until 10pm (now 9pm)!! They need more facilities for playing games, more events with better management and longer bar opening times. Most the university bars are open 24hours. Needs a serious reconsideration. Nosh da van is also now branded, which funding has obviously gone to except you can't order takeaway in the physical SU after 8pm, but can still expect deliveries of food going out to people. The staff are lovely but the way it's run and the facilities just aren't good enough. This is a university and the SU bar should be the heart of every uni.

always awful "music" at the bar, if you wanna chat with your friends in a bar/ cafe, better go somewhere else;
worst Student Union i've seen, charge every student £5 tax before they can join any society (not including societies' membership fee yet).
some staffs are friendly while some are not.
perhaps the university itself takes some blame.

Very good uni, visiting as my son is thinking of going to Aberystwyth university, the only reason for 4 stars is that the building is beginning to look a little tired. But the students and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Cheap, good staff, but decor could do with a clean up

Cheep Starbucks, comfy seats terrible music!

Classic pop chosen on the video duke box, scruffy round the edges, friendly staff and a quiet room as well as all the usual social facilities. Got a shop, student union office and a careers place too. Useful. Serves food till later than most other places on campus.
