We instructed CharterHouse to do a full survey of the property we intend to buy.
A detailed report followed about a week later. Jake Simpson, the surveyor, called after he had finished the inspection, giving a brief assessment of the property condition and pointing out several important issues, that could affect the purchase.
He did, however, indicate that this was still a good property to buy and with this knowledge we where able to negotiate a reduction in the purchase price, to address the issue’s that require immediate attention.
Jake called after a week or so, to follow up and give us some useful information he’d found, that could help with costings. He did reiterate, if we need any further assistance or just advice, to not hesitate to call.
All in all, I can thoroughly recommend,

Our Building (Structural) Survey was carried out by Jake who kept us informed throughout the process and produced a well written and detailed report in the time stated. Due to the size of the report, I was concerned it may include a lot of generic documentation but that wasn't the case, it was very much specific to the property and gave us confidence in proceeding with our sale. If you are after a similar service, I would recommend Charterhouse and will use again in the future.

We used CharterHouse Surveyors to survey a potential property for purchase. Gerard and Jake were professional, diligent, and attentive. We were able to have regular email contact prior to the survey, and Jake immediately called us after surveying the property in order to provide an assessment overview. We were able to go through various questions and queries, and Jake always provided clarification and guidance. The structural survey is competitively priced and, whilst it can be considered expensive, it is a valuable document produced with expert knowledge. It is a thorough document. Post survey, Jake was available for answering any queries.
