Happy Garden

Happy Garden is a nice place. I'm more of a Lees Cottage man but that's only based on habit rather than one being better than the other. That is to say that they are both great :)

The complimentary crackers on the counter are a nice touch and I often pop in here for some prawn toast of an evening.

I have used this Chinese a few times. My wife says the food is average.The reason I'm giving a bad review is dirty tatty waiting area,so how clean is the kitchen?I have noticed low hygiene rating on window. The woman who serves shouts rudely at you.No hello, goodbye, please or thankyou. The last visit was the final straw,took my money while looking at grand daughter's home work and didn't even look at me when handing change ,no thank you or goodbye. Happy garden what a joke.No more of my money for you.

Tasty takeaway after craving one for 3 months! Great menu, good price, good food, friendly and safe service. Drove 6 miles home and was still ideal temperature to eat. I usually have to warm mine up from other places! Well done.

Avoid this place! Terrible service and terrible food - lord knows how many times it's been re-heated.

Plum sauce for the aromatic duck was rock solid and the cucumber and spring onion was not chopped.

The "crispy" chilli beef should be renamed to "chewy chilli beef".

The prawn crackers were stale.

The service was terrible - Rude, abrupt and no please of thank you's. I didn't bother ringing to complain, assumed there would be little point.

Loved the salt and pepper chicken wings but their rice was dry it did not test fresh at all .

Easy to order online, fairly quick delivery & arrived hot ready to eat. Read some poor reviews on here but this is not what me and my family experienced. Great food and couldn't really fault it. Chicken balls great - not the usual round battered balls of grease, but crispy, light and superb! Chow mein spot on, mixed starter great value, rice perfectly cooked. Sweet & sour sauce good, not the starchy rubbish, satay sauce thick, I can't fault it.

Avoid. Don’t even think about it. Had the worst Chinese takeaway I have ever had from this place. It was absolutely disgusting, could nt even eat a quarter of it. The rice and chow main appeared to be microwaved in the tub they came in, and was bone dry and tasted disgusting! The rest was poor too. Instantly felt sick. Just a massive no!!!

Terrible! Satay chicken was so dry it was inedible (physically couldn't chew it) and went straight in the bin. Crispy duck was barely edible, chicken balls left a pool of fat in the bottom of the bag. Leaving this review to remind myself never to order from here again.
