Sileby Cottage

The food was delicious and a massive portion! It was very hot too which was nice as it was the right temperature to eat when we got home. The place was immaculate and the lady on the front was very good. Would recommend to anyone who fancies a Chinese. The only problem I had was trying to find a menu online.

I have ordered twice. First time food was quite ok but with delay. But yesterday my chips tasted like chimney ash.. It's next day and I have a stomach ache and want to vomit.. it was a last time I 've ordered

Was..the best Chinese we had ever had..but what the hell ate you doing serving chips for takeaway that are not edible?? Dark in colour..crispy vile over cooked..stop overloading your fryer! If you can't cook chips there is a problem with your Kitchen staff..gave 5 stars before..this time you get just 1 star..prices of food now are ridiculous and you serve food like this? We won't come back if you don't resect how food is presented to the public who have to eat it.

ORDERED THROUGH JUST EAT, ARRIVED LATE, WAS STONE COLD AND TASTED LIKE GARBAGE. THE SMELL THAT CAME FROM IT WAS LIKE A DUSTBIN. NONE OF THE FOOD WAS EATEN AND THE RESTAURANT REFUSED TO REFUND/REPLACE.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
ONLY GIVING ONE STAR SO I CAN POST OTHERWISE IT WOULD GET NOTHING.

The most important part of order not delivered don't use this service. Not even worth having one star following the conversation to rectify. Prepare to be disappointed if you order form here. Would not mind if this was the first time but it has gapped on a couple of occasions now there is only so much dis service anyone should concider

Wish we had read the recent reviews before ordering. Inedible food our egg fried rice even came with small bits of white plastic in , we rang to rectify the issue and the phone was passed onto the manager who was really aggressive I explained that we have plastic in our rice and he goes no you’ve got egg - I’m pretty sure I know the difference between egg and plastic. He then says ‘what do you want me to do about?’ no point continuing a conversation with somebody that rude just save yourself the hassle and don’t order from here - you’ll only end up disappointed.

Order arrived 2 hours late. Had to walk 20 minutes down the road to meet the driver as he had no idea where he was going.
When we finally got the food home, half the order was missing, everything else stone cold.
We then called Sileby Cottage to complain and ask where our missing items were. We were then shouted at down the phone and accused or being liars numerous times.

We were then promised a call back the following day by a lady who described herself as the manageress on the phone. This never happened.

Absolute shambles. Evening ruined.
Don't waste your money, time or appetite.

Best Chinese in Leicestershire. I drive 15 mins both ways to come to here over any of my local takeaways since it's simply the best in terms of quality and variety. They're also fast and have a 5 star hygiene rating which is a rarity in take aways.
I'm pleased they do so many tofu dishes. I'm surprised it so hard to find vegan dishes in Chinese take aways, but Sileby Cottage are the best.
