Famous Chef

This is the 3rd or 4th time I have ordered with The Famous Chef and have always been very pleased with the service provided. Last night was a Birthday meal for my partner and her family. We were given a delivery time of 8:45am, the food didn’t arrive until 9:15pm. I rang the restaurant 3 time and spoke to the same man, each time he told me the food was out for delivery and that it would be there ‘very very soon’. It got to 9:10pm and the food still wasn’t here so I called again and the man called the delivery driver while I was on the phone and he said he was 1 minute away round the corner. He was then another 5 minutes late after this call.

Shocking service and I’d like some of my money back please!

First ever order with Famous Chef.

Ordered 7:38, expected 7:55-8:15
received 9:10!
Lied to by staff....
Rang at 8:30 to chase, told food in vehicle would be 10 mins.
Half hour later I rang again told food just leaving.
Delivery driver hung around, expecting a tip!
Food cold, needed warming through.

Horrible experience, won't use again

Placed order, order was accepted, given a delivery time, sat back and waited. Came back later to check my order delivery time to find that the Famous Chef had cancelled my order. No message, no notification, just silently cancelled the order for me and my family. This was a Mother's Day meal with my kid and they couldn't even be arsed to send me a text or call me to let me know that they weren't going to deliver anything. They just left us sitting here hungry believing that our food would be here soon. Instead of a Mother's Day meal we are now chowing down on cereal. Bus-tards. Giving one star as it isn't possible to leave less than 1.

Ordered on just eat I ordered house special chow mein with gravy it came wit no gravy no meat or prawns in it to be fair the crispy chilli beef was OK and the delivery experience was very poor also I rang them 4 times asking where my food was stood outside my hotel for 40 minutes when they had left it with reception but it took 40 minutes and 4 calls to find this out food pretty cold when I got it to my room stay well clear of this place

Have used the famous Chef many times. Food is always good, and delivery quick. Today however, order placed (by Just Eat) at 17:59, due 18:50-19:10. Called at 19:30 to be told it will be ten minutes. Its now over two hours - and the phone is permanently engaged. No Food. No way of contacting. Going to make ourselves cheese on toast. Wont be using again. !

Ordered through uber eats, order accepted, waited over an hour and a half, rang the restaurant and the person on the phone was so rude and argumentative. I would never speak to a customer the way I was spoke to and then they cancelled my order and never heard from them again. Shocking service, would not recommend wasting your time.

Ordered food way ahead of the evening rush, 3.5 hours later, still no food.
Finally got through to the manager and he hung up on us.
Would not recommend this place at all
RUDE, LIES ABOUT FOOD BEING ON ITS WAY AND THEN HANG UP!!!

Placed order online and paid at 19:40, with delivery estimated for 20:20.

Still no food at 21:50, tried calling for past hour but nobody answering phone. Opening times state they close at 22:00 so gave up calling. Still no food at 22:20.

Previously ordered before with no major issues, had a dish wrong before but that’s all, but this is ridiculous.
