Whilst it is understandable that the restaurant can be busy at peak times, it’s a struggle to get through, you are given inaccurate delivery times and are unable to get through when the food doesn’t arrive at quoted time.
Our last order was placed and we were quoted a delivery time or an hour and half later and when hadn’t arrived after 2 hours we called (it took 10 minutes to get through) and were told it would be at least another 20 minutes, with no explanation or apology. Despite explaining if it didn’t arrive by that time, we did not want it. order arrived later - 3 hours after our original order time. By this point, we had assumed it would not be coming. Whilst the driver was pleasant, it has really given us a poor experience and we are reluctant to order again.
Ordered beef in black bean sauce and large rice.
If it was large rice i wonder how big the normal size is.
As for the beef in black bean sauce. It was appalling. Sauce was very runny and no taste to it whatsoever
Used them again today, as it was Christmas Eve. Understood they were busy so that explains why they didn't answer the phone - so decided to go place a collection order instead.
Upon placing our order, we were quoted a 20 minute wait, which was fair - until it reached 40 minutes and we queried our order, to be told it wasn't going to be long, just getting packed.
Once it had been an hour, we finally collected our food, however to our suprise once we arrived hole, we had the 2 packets of Salt and Pepper chips weren't in the order. Phoned the shop to be told to collect the chips, and get told no more business and given a £5 refund - not even the price of the chips.
Not really how I'd expect a business to talk to a customer, and certainly not how I'd speak to a customer shilst I was working.
If you're too overwhelmed with orders, simply either give a longer estimate or stop taking orders to fulfill the current orders.
P.S. Would like to add that the woman I spike to when collecting my order was lovely, and wish I could say the same about the service of the man we spoke to.
£11 Down the drain.
Edit - Since my last vist here, ( try again see if things have improved type of vist) food has drastically improved, new chef ? New supplier ? Dunno but food seems to be OK now, ordered a few times here now since my first vist, everytime foods been OK.
