Cathay Princess

Warning - do not order from here. Ordered satay chicken and received plastic chicken in grease sauce. When we phoned up to tell them I was told persistently that it was satay sauce and I was wrong and didnt know what satay sauce looks and tastes like.

The salt and pepper chips arrived sweating with random pieces of onions in there, and are not chips but cheap frozen fries. Wouldn't have paid a pound for them but ended up paying £4.40.

Terrible customer service and rude staff, I question the hygiene of this place after the order due to the poor quality of the food.

So £25 for a tub of noodles and a few puks of meat, a singular prawn, one chicken in indeterminate greasy sauce, some sweaty frozen chips and a duck fried rice which was the only edible meal. Feeling totally ripped off.

This place doesn't look like much but the food was lovely. We all enjoyed it very much and was very reasonably priced.

Have used this takeaway for a few years. Really disappointed ordered to many chips by mistake, rang them up they refuse to give me refund yet on website it states the takeaway can sort refunds!?! Won't order from again

Iv ordered from here few times I'm allergic to onions I write this on the order in capital letters but still everytime my order comes covered in them iv complained there not intrested worst customer service iv ever known

Cathy Princess is an amazing Chinese takeaway, never had a bad meal from there..... lovely

Been ordering here for years , past year the rice is bland and the yung chow fried rice seemed like it was cooked about a month ago and frozen , prices are going up and the food going down hill , need to think about the quality of the food before putting prices up

Placed an order with this takeaway as usual on a Friday. Food never arrived, Rang restaurant to be told driver was lost, didn’t speak English. So messages were transferred from staff to driver without success. Doesn’t look like we’re getting a refund either. Avoid Staff hundred up when asked for a refund. So out of pocket and NO food either

The food we’ve had from Cathay Princess has always been very good. Unfortunately, our last two orders (6-7 weeks apart) have meant we can’t order from here again.

Twice now we’ve ordered around 6.30pm and not received our food until gone 10.30pm. Nobody wants to eat that late when you were ready to eat around 7.30pm (as you’d usually give an hour for delivery on busy evenings).

The excuses and the constant “it’ll be another 20 minutes”, when in fact it took another 2 hours, just compound the misery. They also refused to allow us to cancel with a refund on the evening or part refund us for ruining the evening.

As I say, great food but hopelessly unreliable. We’ve had a 100% hit rate of ruined evenings in 2021.
