West Lake Chinese Take Away

Unfortunately I can't give this take away even a single star. There is a £10 minimum order charge plus a £1.30 delivery charge despite being less than 2 miles away.
I ordered Beef Chop Suey, Egg fried rice and a portion of chips and a tub of sweet & sour sauce to bring the order up to the £10. required.

When the order arrived, the egg fried rice didn't contain egg and was so dry as to be virtually inedible. The Beef in the chop suey was extremely tough and they had used tinned mushrooms, There were very few bean sprouts in the dish and little or no liquid. It was without doubt the worst Chinese take away I have ever eaten. Avoid this place.

We have used this take away since the beginning when 'Chicken George' was the owner. In all these years we have never had a bad meal. The portion sizes and flavour of the meals are excellent and we feel they provide value for money. The staff are very friendly and polite and delivery service is a life saver. Wouldn't have a Chinese Takeaway from anywhere else.

Have used West Lake for about 10 years and it’s now better than ever. Highly recommended.

Rude woman serving , disgusting food , crispy beef was more like crispy gone off fish , mushrooms were dry , will NEVER eat here again .

Not like it used to be, not very welcoming, lot better value around too

West Lake is our favourite Chinese Takeaway. We have ordered from West Lake for many years and they never fail to disappoint us!

The best chinese I have had. Singapore noodles delish
