ALTER AND TWEAK

Hind is a true artist. I took a grossly oversized leather motorcycle jacket in to see if I could get it tailored to fit, within 5 minutes Hind had sized it up and committed to the job. I just picked it up and you wouldn't even know such significant alterations had been done, the finish is even better than when it was new, and it fits perfectly. What a miracle worker, and I truly believe it when Hind says "Simply No Tweak Too Small". You won't regret working with Alter and Tweak.

I was was impressed with the service at Alter and Tweak. The lady that runs the business is lovely and very knowledgeable.

I had a pair of trousers that needed to be altered within 24 hours. Despite having a busy workload Alter and Tweak bent over backwards to help. The quality of finish was fantastic. I’d highly recommend their services.

I didn’t catch the lady’s name who helped me but Teddington could do with more people like her! An asset to the business.

Words cannot explain how brilliant the owner is! I had a last minute mishap with my wedding dress and needed it tailored for the next day. She did not hesitate at all and she even offered to hand deliver it to my home address and she is closed on Sundays!

I could not have asked for a more personal, professional and positive experience and service. Hind is the most warm and friendly person with such incredible talent and skill. She took on an alteration to a complicated high end wedding skirt that many had shied away from. She not only did the alterations to the highest standard but also to a tight deadline and with a smile and the best communication. I could not have asked for a better service. You will not regret working with Hind, and she’ll add a touch of joy to your life along the way. I could not recommend Alter and Tweak anymore

Would not recommend. Expensive, lengthy turnaround time and terrible workmanship. I took in a designer dress to be tailored for a wedding. Not only were the alterations on the bodice done poorly, but Hind decided to shorten the dress without having measured the length on me. As a result the maxi dress turned out to be too short and had to take to a different tailor to be fixed as best as it could. She was unapologetic and provided no explanation as to why she decided to cut off a strip of the dress without having measured the appropriate length first. Would advise to go elsewhere!

Alter and Tweak did a fantastic job with my wedding dress. Hind (who runs the company) is an expert and I am delighted with the service. She listened to all my requests and was very patient with me (I was quite nervous!) Thank you Hind!

Lovely lady. I was having issue with a zip and she gave me great advice to sort it out at home and didn't charge me a thing. We will be back if the suit my husband has ordered doesn't fit!!! Please go here for your alterations ....she could not have been nicer!!!

I went to Alter and Tweak this morning to see Hind about my wedding dress and get some alterations done, and I wasn't very happy with the experience.
As soon as I put my dress on, Hind commented on my tattoos, saying that she expected I would need to cover these with make up on the wedding day. I thought this was very rude, but I didn't want to be confrontational so I didn't say anything at the time.
We then continued with pinning etc, which was mostly fine, but she did make a few unusual comments, like that it may not be possible to line the lace bodice, which I was ensured by the bridal shop was perfectly possible. In the end I asked for the straps to be shortened, the back to be taken in and front of the bodace lined, and the skirt to be taken up. Hind advised this would be £400, which seemed extortionate to me for what I was requesting, and she did not provide any sort of breakdown for why it was this much.
In the end I decided that I wasn't willing to pay this, especially after her initial comment on the way I looked. I didn't use her services so cannot speak for her work, but I didn't enjoy my experience here and would not reccomend.
In the end I went to Ducane Richmond in a panic and they were great and charged me £250 for the same services.
