I had a fantastic experience at The Alteration Yard in Guildford. The ladies were so friendly and helpful. They had to take two sizes off my wedding dress and did it with such perfection. Their attention to detail was incredible; they ensured that lace placements on my dress were tailored to my body shape and height. Also, to ensure that I feel secure in my wedding dress, they added elastic underneath my chest and waist to help the dress stay up securely all day. As a result, I could move around, dance freely and not worry about gaping accidents when I bent down. I am incredibly pleased. Thank you both.

I had my wedding dress fitted and altered here and they did an amazing job. They were really thorough making sure every small detail was considered and listened to all our queries and suggestions and were able to make specialized adaptations to make sure I felt really comfortable in the dress. Both women were really friendly and made me feel relaxed whenever I came up for a fitting

Had a pair of dungarees and a dress altered here and the experience was great! I wanted the pockets on the dungarees to be moved up, but the fabric wasn't the same colour underneath the pocket, so before they continued they contacted me asking if I still wanted to proceed. I'm really glad they did that. I also got to try on my dress a few times to make sure the changes the tailor(s) made were okay. Very happy with my experience here!

I've had more garments adjusted at "the garment yard" than I care to remember.
The work carried out by the girls/ staff is excellent and you won't find better prices anywhere. Everyone is really really nice and very very helpful.
Anna on the front desk is just so lovely and nothing is too much trouble.

If there was an option for 100 stars - I would definitely give 100!!! I had my wedding dress altered in The Alteration Yard in Guildford. Ladies working there are so lovely and helpful. Anna made my dress look exactly the way I imagined, she's just a STAR. I'm so happy and glad that I found them. I highly recommend The Alteration Yard if you want your wedding dress to look fabulous. I have just had my wedding dress altered at The Alteration Yard. I could not be happier with it. The ladies were very professional and I felt confident from the outset that they knew exactly what they were doing and what was needed. Everything was done on time, very simple, no issues. It looks great. I’d highly recommend and will definitely use them for future alterations (not another wedding dress though! ;-) )
