River Island

This place is really good to get nice clothing for men, women and kids. The clothing is very good quality as well. If you don't find the item in store they can normally oder it in store. The store is always nice, clean and tidy and the staff are very friendly and always willing to help.

It's been some time since I visited one of these shops and I expected better.the clothing on offer were of no better quality than another prominent high street retailer,(Pri..) except more expensive! so what makes this chain stand out? Unless they are using the shops to promote online sales?..

Staff not very concerned with meeting customer needs. I asked for my size in a jumper I wanted, as the only one they had left was a damaged one. They offered to bring one in from another store which would take 4 days or I could pay another £5 for next day delivery! I was a visitor from abroad so could not wait 4 days, and i don't understand why i should pay extra for buying one of their products simply because they didnt have my size! As if that wasn't outrageous enough, when I asked them what kind of discount I could get if I purchased the damaged product, they unwillingly said all they could give was 10%, which amounted to £3.60! I think store policies need to change! Not a satisfied customer!

River island has some very nice items, including fairly well made clothing and many accessories.

It does however appear a little expensive for what it offers. Some of the prices are very similar to better brands out there, but in River Island the items, while being nice do not quite match the price they are sold at.

Great sale items

Nice location for the store as it’s near the bus station and not too far from the train station both of them actually. Reasonable prices on offer for types of people with a selection of sizes obviously. Good selection of designs but more the younger generation

I usually like river island, their clothes are long wearing but recently have been several times and have always left feeling their clothing to be outdated very small (and I'm not a large girl myself) and the staff at the Canterbury store have also been extremely unhelpful, standoffish and on one more than one occasion, downright rude, so I no longer bother going in there.

Pretty and different clothing at great prices in the sale. Comfortable changing rooms.
