Matalan

Not many of these around. But they always seem to have some great lines of clothes in stock, ranging from newborn to all size adults, including plus sizes which is always good to see. They have a great selection of homeward products, toys, gifts etc and this store is definitely worth having a nosey around you will probably always leave with something!!

I find that Matalan might not be the best for style or design of clothing, however, you can't fault it on price. I came in and bought a nice simple pair of jeans for £18! The staff are super friendly too, and if you have any queries they're always willing to help you out.

Find the store a bit of a mess with items on the floor and mixed rails. It's OK for lower price and lower quality items but I'd rather spend a little more on the supermarket brands if I'm looking for cheaper items and they tend to keep the clothing section tidier than here.

Lovely Service at the tills by a girl called Rosehannah so polite and made me feel welcome and want to come back to the store

Great range of products at very competitive prices. Store looks untidy in some places with clothes randomly stuck back on racks (by inconsiderate customers?)... & not rectified because of shop floor staff shortages?
But otherwise, a great store!!

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES USE THIS STORE FOR DPD DROP OFF, THE STAFFS INCOMPATENCY AT THE DPD SERVICE IS UNBELIEVABLE IVE HAD A PARCEL THERE FOR THREE WHOLE DAYS NOW AND NO MOVEMENT ON TRACKER WHAT SO EVER. THREE PARCELS DROPPED AT THE DPD DROP OFF AT OUR LOCAL SHOP AND YES, ALL BEEN COLLECTED AND RECIEVED BY DPD ALREADY WHILST NO STATUS AT MATALAN.

What a dismal experience shopping at this store.
Now I'm the first to except business has used covid as a culling tool for staff customer service etc but please explain to me why when shopping here I may aswell have signed up to work for Matalan for the evening.
Checkout was a sad display of self service,not a staff member human interaction at all. However after forgetting my Matalan card went to the one till that had an uninterested member of staff. After a few hits of the keyboard I was handed my membership number then with a grunt and a point was told to use the till and type it in. By this time the 3 items I had could have been scanned and paid for hey ho. Typed my code scanned the barcodes I even had to remove the security tags of the items. After slaving away working my own job all week is it too much to ask that I do not have to work on the tills when entering a retail establishment.
Does this mean all the staff have been let go furloughed? Wonder why the high street and retail is failing.
Never again to step in Matalan.

Great shop for reasonabley cheap clothes, especially handy for kids clothes that you don't expect to last a long period of time, personally feel it is the only shop worth go to Junction One retail park for.
