Punchin' Palooka

We were a group of six who were booked in for some cocktails before a birthday dinner (sat 20 August 2022) and could not fault this great little bar. Fabulous, attentive and quick service, even though they were very busy. Staff couldn't do enough for us and made it really special. Great value too. thank you!

Nice place but the cocktails aren't great in my opinion. Had the NY sour and it was flooded with port on the top which wasn't great to drink. Once I'd got through that layer there was no hint of either sour or bourbon.

We celebrated our engagement party by doing private hire at Punchin' Palooka and from start to finish, it was perfect. Guy and Alex were amazing to work with, helping us organise everything and making our lives 100 times easier. Everyone who works there is so friendly and lovely as well as amazing drinks, a beautiful bar (we added a few things to tie in our theme but it needs no decoration!) and being super flexible with catering options. Would highly recommend for any occasion - a few of our friends now want to book their birthday parties there!

Had a fantastic night here. The staff were amazing and the cocktails were delicious with a wide range to choose from. The vespa martini packed a punch and the butterscotch old fashioned was smashing. Definately come here if you want some relaxed drinks in a great setting!

I LOVE this place. The best cocktails in Herts, amazing staff, amazing atmosphere and owner (Alex). Make sure you book though as they are always super busy (for good reason).

Really lovely place to go for a drink, definitely a place to go on a date or have nice drink with friends. We enjoyed it and will be back. They've got a selection of interesting and tasty cocktails.
