The food was delicious, the atmosphere was relaxed and warm, the decor was lush and the service was 5 star! Our hosts were very friendly, pleasant and brought a lot of smile and laughter to our night. It was an unforgettable memory for us.
We'll definitely come back again.
A special thank you to all the staff, the owner Leke and compliments to the chef! 🙂
A friend and I arrived early hoping to have pre-lunch drinks but the establishment wasn't open which was sad. However the management explained that they were ensuring that everything was sanitized prior to opening. We had our drinks at a local bar upon returning the atmosphere was lively
Prior to lunch we ordered cocktails which were good and fairly priced.
Rosemary bread [freshly baked] was served with salted butter - delicious and we could have ate more.
The starter was crispy prawns on a bed of crispy noodles and assorted salad leaves
My main course consisted of lobster, mac n cheese and salad leaves. I ordered a side of broccoli.
Desert was a gooey chocolate Brownie with chocolate sauce and ice cream...
The cost of the set menu was £37 with a supplement of £4 for the lobster and a choice of extra plates chips, veg, salads etc from about £3.
The ambiance was good [we had a DJ] and the staff were attentive. Would definitely eat here again.... and since then I have TWICE!!!🙈
This place is definitely becoming a firm favourite of mine. I was here 7/10 and again on 14/10... last week I had oxtail ravioli - lovely, lamb shank [that fell off the bone and melted in the mouth] with a smooth, sweet potato mash, harrisa and pickled vegetables. I was full but just about managed to squeeze in a sorbet triple of mango, raspberry and lime.
This week my starter was chicken lollipops, delicious and for my main course I enjoyed pan fried seabass with a crab croquette, sticky rice, mango salsa. Seems I ate it before i took the photo 🙊🙊🤣. The dessert mango parfait, coconut cake, peach jewels came in a jewellery box and needs to be tasted to be believed it was just right not too sweet.
The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The second time I visited I mentioned how impressed I was with the bread and butter [both vegan and made on the premises] and wanted to order it again. It was explained to me that it is not generally available... however this time i was greeted on my 3rd visit with bread and butter made specially for my visit 🫂.... the owner recognised me when I made the 3rd reservation and surprised me. Not too many restaurants go to those lengths to accommodate a client... looking forward to seeing you soon.
The food was creatively presented and definitely photo worthy. The taste was nice - could've been better though, as this was a 'fine dining' experience I expected more complexity in the flavours. I really enjoyed the complimentary soup sample 1. Because it was free and unexpected and 2) because it was delicious. I do hope they continue this as they time goes on and the menu evolves.
Only things I would respectfully suggest to change is to have a powerful heater / air con unit above the entrance door and throughout the premises. And maybe more balance in the food flavours but at the price point of around £30 for the priciest main meal on the menus it was honestly about right for price and quality.
It will be hard to leave disappointed from here.
