Coffee At The Close

New favourite local café! Visited for the first time today after hearing about their takeaway service, and was really impressed. Loved the homemade white choc and raspberry cake, and most importantly the coffee was wonderful! Its a stylish place with friendly service, and it makes a great addition to the local community.

Beautiful little coffee shop! We both had food (Signature Breakfast and a Chicken & Pesto Panini) and it was delicious! The atmosphere is very relaxing and the staff are very friendly. They also have an AMAZING selection of cakes on offer too.
Defo recommend!

Small, clean, friendly and cakes to die for! Avocado and salmon was amazing, great size portion. Coronation chicken on white bloomer was so tasty. We took away a few lumps of tiffin, which were thoroughly enjoyed 😉 parking is in a residential area, I didnt see any restrictions. Lovely place and we will definitely return!

The food was lovely, but 'very' expensive for what you get. Hence a three star rating. Sorry guys. We want be coming again. Over £50 for two sandwiches, salad, pancakes and three drinks. Although the staff were extremely friendly and professional we can't afford to re visit.

Cafe is placed in a quiet Springfield street, short walk from the park. Nice place with outside seating available as well. Only got a latte to take away, service was nice and price a market average. Disappointed in coffee, milk was heated up way too hot while steaming - took 20 mins to cool down enough in the car for me to be able to drink it. Heating up milk to such high temperature also affects the flavour and this coffee was no exception.

A friend recommended me to this busy little independent cafe. We took our daughter and baby granddaughter. The food was lovely and fresh, the service was really good and the cakes were delicious. I love to bake so I am often a bit critical of cakes when I eat out. I had the Mango, Passionfruit and Lime sponge, absolutely yummy 😋

Opened only 9 months ago. Nicely presented place, with great savoury or sweet pancake options, and a few fresh cakes too. Polite and helpful staff. Located in an unexpected residential area. Recommend a visit for coffee and cake, or a breakfast or lunch option too. (Pictured: Chocolate and orange cake)

I always order from here because I think this place does the best breakfast food in Chelmsford and there coffees are really tasty! I would give 6* if I could..I definitely recommend the bacon and cheese tostie and there lattes.. there brownies are soo yummy too!
