Charlie's Coffee & Company (Van)

Fantastic coffee, service with a smile from a super-friendly, independent coffee brewer and her little van. She's been making commuters happy with a fresh brew for years and St Albans wouldn't be the same without her (and she can even be relied on when it's snowing - awesome!).

Charlie is truly interested in her customers​. She is always chatting to them as I pass. If Charlie is half as caring about her coffee as she is her customers it will taste great. In fact I'm sure the coffee tastes great, it certainly smells great but unfortunately I'm always on bike so I can never buy one! 😥

When I started a new job, my colleagues assured me that the best coffee in St. Albans was from Charlie's. Having sampled all the other coffee shops on my route to work, I can confirm they are correct. Not only is it the finest coffee you'll ever taste, it's also served with the sort of friendly smile and chat that you'd never get in one of the chains. 5 stars.

Charlie’s is amazing, not only does she know all her customers coffees off by heart, she has a smile and warm words all year round. I would hazard that she single handedly increases both productivity and wellbeing for the city of St Albans having just celebrated 10 years of standing in a car park :) We love Charlie’s and love her little coffee shop too which has a devilishly good tiger bread BLT.

Charlie's coffee van truly brightens up my day. Delicious coffee always served with a friendly smile and a chat. Something to look forward to on my morning commute!

Not only is this the best coffee you will ever have it is served by the nicest and most friendly staff you will ever meet. Impossible not to recommend to anyone who loves good coffee and fine people.

Best coffee in St Albans. Period. Lovely people and lovely snacks too. Never dissapoints.

Lovely coffee. Cup size is kinda too small. Lovely customer service. Has a variety of pastry. Well placed to grab a quick hot drink before getting on the train.
