Nice cafe in the center of Cambridge University. It’s quite pleasant and quiet, despite being close to a big street, and their coffee was pretty good (and strong!). The service was friendly and fast. It’s quite small though, so don’t count on finding space for large groups.

Authentic and great coffee! Best coffee for us during our stay!

Popped in for a quick espresso whilst on a walk. Based on the reviews and ratings I was really expecting a great espresso.

Unfortunately, the cup was really not that great. Over extracted, as can be evidenced in the amount of liquid nearly double what I would expect from an espresso. Overall very bad taste.

Wouldn't recommend unfortunately. Nice spot nonetheless.

Considering the reviews, I don't know if I hit on a bad day, but the coffee was undrinkable. The milk frother nozzle wasn't cleaned before being used in my flat white and had a layer of old milk on it. The milk itself was from a large jug and therefore not specific for flat white either. The coffee wasn't tamped properly so the water flowed through the coffee without fighting for the flavour. Had to leave the full cup on the table and go find good coffee elsewhere.

This place is the best. Run by a super friendly guy, and delicious coffee - my favorite latte in Cambridge. Definitely recommend over any of the bigger coffee chains in the area.

I studied abroad last year in Cambridge, and visiting a foreign country is always hard because of a lack of community. Visiting Espresso Lane and talking to Engen (hopefully name spelled correctly) was one of the best parts of my week and I felt like I was part of the Cambridge Espresso Lane community. Anytime I needed a quick coffee boost (with oatmilk) or some quality warm handmade bread, I would stop by. The food and drinks always tasted great and made with care. Engen was very sweet and kind to all his customers, and overall was one of my highlights during my time there.

Excellent atmosphere, great gf banana bread, superb toasties (gf available), and the friendliest barista in town! My favourite coffee place in Cambridge ✨

Lovely staff with some indoor seating. Plenty of gluten free options for food both sweet and savoury, strong cup of coffee too
