A lovely find in Gravesend. The eggs Royale were delicious and the coffee great. Luxury hot chocolate looked immense too. Staff friendly and personable. Really a very genuinely good place. Will try the morning tea/ feast option next time.. Look for it on the menu.

Lovely little place, feels like a piece of home.. friendly staff. Starts to get busier after 11.30, and it seems regular clients make reservations, so I’d recommend doing this during the popular times.

Lovely food and really friendly staff. I overheard the owner speaking to one of the other patrons about their life and background for a good 10 minutes. It's that sort of interaction with people, the personal touch, that separates places like this from the big chain cafes.

I'd recommend the stack sandwich for adults, or the ham sandwich for the kids.

Had a lovely brunch there today. According to lady behind the counter, current owners have been there for about 5 years. Very popular, bookings for lunch recommended and for afternoon tea essential.

Have eaten here on 3 occasions, never disappointed.
A lovely tea room, staff friendly, lovely atmosphere, food delicious.
Had an afternoon tea for my daughters baby shower.
Never rushed, a steady flow of customers.

Went there today for an afternoon tea with friends. Staff lovely and attentive with out being pushy. Food beautiful, as all very fresh. Would love to visit again soon!

Omg I’ve never felt so unwelcome in a place I’m paying to eat. I wasn’t welcome at all & my friend who was with me could feel it. She even asked me why do I come to this place. When leaving I order 3 pieces of cake to take away. The girl serving me cut the remaining cake into three pieces. She then cut off the tiniest piece and said that was for her!!! Absolutely disgusting & unbelievable that the owner stood there & watched her. When I spoke to the owner about it she pretended that she didn’t know what I was talking about. The food is ok but the awful customer service is unbelievable. My friend also said the owner appeared completely repelled by me, my presence or me speaking & suggested she’s probably racist. Manager/ owner is aware as I tried speaking to her but she couldn’t careless & is happy to have an awful review. Cafe lounge is far better than this place. Better food much better service & you won’t be unwelcome or faced with racism! To think I’ve given this place my money is upsetting & I took the time to explain this & have it sorted but this review is clearly what they wanted from me more than my custom!
To answer your reply, when I speak to you about this you wasn’t the slightest bit bothered. Stop covering the awfulness as there was no cake left. I bought the last three pieces and your greedy staff member cut off a piece of my cake for herself. You thought it was funny but you don’t like it now it’s in black & white for all to read. To say there’s no racism because your not white is absolutely ridiculous. Your not white but your definitely 100% not Black. If you didn’t want this review then you should have responded accordingly. Laughing it of with a sorry not sorry & making excuses about cake left was small. All nonsense you acted like I’m imagining things or that I’m stupid. All you’ve done with your reply is insult my intelligence.

A work colleague/friend and I tucked into a very tasty sandwich today at lunchtime.
Always a good choice of place to eat and have a cup of coffee or tea.
