Weather permitting but going to the wharf offers a distinctive range of things. There are food outlets & a couple of restaurants here, there is a candy shack which is very popular with the children. Whether you are walking to Leeds or Liverpool, the area here is a good starting point.

Very stylish bar & restaurant area next to the Leeds & Liverpool canal. Funny scarecrows everywhere! Great little tapas place there too.

This is quite a cute area to hang out in Burscough. There are places to eat, have coffee, listen to live music and enjoy the ambience. At night there are hanging fairy lights outside as well as a live music & seating area. I found parking but it was midweek so I'm not sure what it would be like on a weekend. I had coffee and lunch at Hugo's then an ice cream Sundae right next door. Such a lovely area. Highly recommend visiting the Wharf.

Stopped at Hugo's for brunch, had the all day brekkie and it was delicious. One had the eggs bendict and said it was lovely, another had pancakes with syrup and they were also delicious. Top quality food and great service, would definitely recommend to others. We also popped to the milkie way for ice creams and crepes, they were also delicious and highly recommended 👍

Great staff, good food, but lacks menu options if you arrive towards the end of day.

Visited in the evening and it's a lovely place to meet up and eat & drink. Live music, comfortable seating and ambient fairy lights make for a welcoming atmosphere.
