Cafe Expresso

Not sure why I have never reviewed this Cafe. I love coming here!! Little less when it is very busy though. The service is quick and very friendly. I love a good coffee. The cafe produces a coffee which is fragrant and a strength which is just right for me. The thing that love the most though is the fresh home baked cakes. They are delicious and the slices are bigger than most of the other cafes in town. I think favourite is the coffee and walnut cake or actually it might be the chocolate cake....or is it the carrot cake? I a looking forward to trying the meals from their menus. I will write another review soon!!!

Lovely little gem. Very popular. Nice atmosphere and vibe. Just a shame they close the kitchen at 3pm so no hot food. They do offer sandwiches 🥪 after 3pm but one would need to go elsewhere. Lovely staff

Great cafe, coffee and food always tasty and well presented. Staff polite and friendly, only one small thing to mention the floor and tables were a bit messy although I appreciate staff busy, it did catch my eye as a little untidy that day but otherwise that a side would definitely recommend.

Visited for the first time on the day of the Queens funeral. If you like a nice drink and really good cake it's a must visit. We love cake and have tried lots, but I must say this is the best cake we have ever had. We will definitely visit again for tea, coffee and cake. Amazing options and really good sized slices of delicious cake.

I had an event at Somerset Cricket Ground and was informed the day before that they could no longer provide breakfast for the event.

I rang a few Cafes in Taunton and when I rang Cafe Expresso, they said they would have to call me back. I assumed I was being put off again.

But I was so wrong, they lady who called back was very helpful. Took my order and assured me it would be packed to keep warm and be ready for when I arrived.

The next morning, they had everyone ready when we arrived, all packaged in recyclable packaging designed to keep them warm. The price was great too and the service was awesome.

Strongly recommend them and will use them again.

Wonderful first visit. Very friendly and efficient staff. Varied menu and reasonable prices. Will definitely be returning.

Great place after discovering it while walking to vivary Park many years ago which is situated nearby.Great outside seating and indoor seating over 2 floors and great extensive menu caught my eye.Upstairs is so cosy with a warmth feeling and down stairs is great and has an amazing vibe.Cafe Expresso serves an extensive breakfast and lunch range where its cooked fresh on site from english breakfast to egg benidicts to sandwiches,pannis and omelette,to a great range of food items on a daily specials board.Cafe Expresso have great vegetarian chices and suits all people with allergies.
The soup of the day is changed daily with a great range of hot or cold drinks there's something to suit everyone's needs.ALL CAKES including scones for afternoon tea are baked daily and catches your eye with you linking your lips how could you resist. I often good in for coffee and so nice to have It brought to you instead of waiting then carrying it over once ordered.The cafe is always clean and the service is grand always guaranteed and always with a great smile,does make a difference.IN life you can't guarantee anything,but when you come to cafe Expresso you can always get great food and extremely great service at a great fair price that is a guarantee!!!

They serve most delicious homemade cakes in here. Just stopped off with my friend and had a slice of blueberry and raspberry iced sponge cake. My friend had a slice of Xmas cake equally yummy. I like it as can sit inside or out. Always friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Dog friendly too.
