Great branch of Nero’s with plenty of space and good views of the castle.

Staff are usually great and makes a good coffee ☕️

Cardiff city walk is really pleasant and the castle is in a prime area. This Nero is right outside the castle entrance. A nice spot to sit relax and enjoy your coffee. And definitely a lazy spot to sit and watch the world pass by. The glass doors and windows make a nice view to the outside world. Standard menu and no surprise s.

Popped in for a coffee and to use the toilet, the three members of staff on shift were quite slow to serve the queue, one person looked like they were in training but received very little actual guidance from their team members, once it was my turn to be served I was yelled at "can I help" then when I tried to speak I was cut off and yelled at again "can you come down here" it was difficult to tell where the tills were so this was an unpleasant experience. During this time the staff members were focusing their attention on a leaky fridge more than the customers in the queue, I didn't feel like we were appreciated at all it was a chore to have to serve us, even a fake smile would have helped. Will definitely not be returning.

Popped in for an early drink before trolling the shops and Cardiff market. Nice enough standard Nero fare. Could do with a freshen up, but altogether not bad. Thank you Cafe Nero.

Got a lovely winter special coffee! Yummy gingerbread latte! Was very delicious I have to admit. Pricing was expected, perhaps more on the expensive side but I suppose I’d class the drink as a treat anyway! Perfect for when me and my friend headed bank into the Cardiff rain and cold. The staff were very friendly and the Cashier was so talkative and welcoming. Pretty fabulous experience as we were in a rush :) Pleased!!

Good covid precautions, lovely staff (the trainee barista did an awesome job).

Also just want to say how great their loos are. They have a disabled radar key loo, a unisex loo a male loo and a female loo. All were enclosed spaces with full doors (no stalls) with their own sink, hand dryer, mirror and sanitary bin (as well as a regular black bag bin)

The barista was lovely to my 81 year old mum who was meeting me in Cafe Nero. She doesn't have any payment cards and was embarrassed when she couldn't pay for her coffee as they aren't taking cash payments. She asked if she could just sit and wait for me and he brought her coffee anyway and I paid for hers when I got there. A small gesture but he looked after my mum so I'm grateful.
