Abbey Mill Coffee House

Such a lovely little place in the Abbey Mill. There is a great choice of hot and cold food, also there are plenty of vegetarian options. They have a large range of drinks and also serve alcohol.
They have indoor and outdoor seating, so whatever the weather it is worth a visit. They also have toilets on site.
Not suitable for wheelchair access on the inside as there were steps leading up inside the cafe, but luckily plenty of benches outside and gorgeous weather!

Today I went on a lovely cycle ride with my family. The weather was good so we stopped here for a bite to eat. My dad tried to order before me and he was questioned on what he asked for by the lady on the till and she said that’s not on the menu rather rudely. She then looked at the menu and saw that it was in fact on the menu. He then asked if she could fill his water bottle up and she told him he could in the toilet... I ordered food after and was given a similar greeting. I asked for 4 glasses of water as there was a group of 4 of us on a table, ‘4?!? 4 glasses of 4 water for 1 person?!?’ She said with a raised voice. I then explained that it would be one drink for each person on the table but she said that each person would have to come up (who’d already ordered) and ask for themselves... Bare in mind it is table service so once you’ve paid they’d have bought the drinks over to the table anyway. Apart from this one lady on the till the rest of the staff were nice and a fairly nice place to sit and eat. I’ve had much better food else where for less money. Safe to say I will not be returning.

Had a wonderful afternoon tea today at the Abbey Mill cafe, incredible value, such friendly staff and lovely food. We were even given sealable take away boxes to take home everything we couldn't manage. Would definitely recommend.

Just tried to eat at this cafe, put a head around the door to see if there was a table and got shouted at by the a member of staff to ‘get outside and be patient’ treated like naughty kids, couldn’t of been more offensive, needless to say we didn’t stay nor shall we be back unless this member of staff learns some manners towards her paying customers!!

Such a delightful place to eat and have a drink. Fab food. Lovely location. Great service and great staff.

Food was delicious and we were even given some delicious complementary mince pies. The staff were really happy to talk though the menu and let us know what was gluten free. Lovely atmosphere, will definitely be back.

Great bacon and egg roll breakfast roll here, available until 12. They even warm the crusty white roll.
Definitely worth a visit.

Excellent value. We had their special beef & beer pie lunch and the large plate sized tea cake. Nice outdoor shaded tables, good service.
