Ahhh The Coffee Box. We arrived towards the end of a long journey needing a coffee and sit down just under 2 weeks ago. We'd driven around the country for a while on the way back from a frustrating day of work then walked around the town and could we find a cafe?!!! Or one that was open?? No! Then suddenly there it was and we'd almost missed it! Walk in, it has a lovely feel to it and the two gentlemen who were running it made us feel like we'd walked into their sitting room. Lovely, lovely coffee and gluten free lemon polenta to die for. The other cakes were mouth watering. Even helped us find the nearest local public loo too! No end to the things we chatted over with the young chap who served us along with a lovely lady sitting having a coffee too. I was sorry to leave in fact. Life isn't easy for all of us but with a welcome like that, great coffee and cake.....The Coffee Box gets my vote. Don't just take my word. Go in, meet the staff and you'll see. Tell them I sent you!

Enjoyed this place. Went in for a flat white and a carrot cake and it was a good flat white. Really friendly staff.

Whilst visiting my mum & step-dad in Brecon, we went for a drink at Coffee Box, in Brecon town. I had mocha frappe, asking for it to be made with skimmed milk, and my mum and step-dad had a cappuccino each. We were served by Emily, who came across as warm and friendly. My mocha frappe was the most flavoursome frappe I have ever tasted (and I have had quite a few in recent years at various coffee shops, cafés and restaurants). It was full of mocha flavour and also had the perfect silky consistency. My mum and step-dad were satisfied with their coffees too, saying that they were nice and hot, rather than warm (as they have experienced in other coffee shops, well known ones included.
I will definitely be coming here again, when I next visit Brecon.

Lovely coffee - first good cup I had in Brecon after having a few. Great selection of cakes and vegan options (more than 1!). Service was quick and polite. Loads of places to sit.

The cakes and hot drinks were delicious. It is a place worth visiting any time of the day. They are dog-friendly, and the staff were fine.

The staff are sooo friendly in this café, we went there for the 1st time a few weeks ago when we saw the sign that it was pet friendly (great cos we got a 14 wk old pup) great cafe for the basics, hot cuppa, panini or baked potato. Definitely will be back soon x

Would recommend and return. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Super tasty strong coffee, fluffy jacket potato cheese & beans, and hubs enjoyed his chicken pesto panini. Generous portions and reasonably priced

Very nice coffee shop offering a wide range of options for both food and drinks. The staff are very friendly and courteous. Service is prompt and the food is nicely presented. The menu is wide-ranging, covering snacks to main meals.

Very nice atmosphere. Well worth a visit.
