Homerton College, University of Cambridge

Please bring your hair dryer and toothbrush set to stay in Homerton College. I enjoyed staying in Homerton College, University of Cambridge which location is very close to a flat which I lived in 13 years ago with many peaceful and happy memory. It takes 10-15 minutes walk from national rail Cambridge station. I like this college's garden which have various beautiful flowers and special trees. I had a quiet, peaceful time there. I kept enjoying taking photos of this college with them. The room on the third floor in South Court which I stayed in very clean room. I enjoyed nice green garden view from my room. The college staffs were very kind and friendly for me anywhere. I stayed in Homerton college comfortably. Thank you very much.

I have been coming to this place every summer for the last 10 years. What I gave learnt to appreciate is the way how you are encouraged to enjoy the place. The college is going through some changes now and I can only hope that the true spirit of Homerton will remain intact.

Beautiful architecture; a wonderful blend of modern and traditional. The facilities are new and functional, and yet the buildings retain a sense of old fashioned charm to them. The great hall is one of the best in Cambridge (and home to the infamous Harry Potter formuls). A fantastic laid back friendly attitude. The best place possible to spend my three years here!

Didnt manage to see much during my visit at Homerton. I'm not sure if there are not much space open to public or I missed out an area. Nonetheless, Homerton has a cosy little cafe great for a drink and snack.

Towards the end of my quest to visit all colleges whilst my son was studying at Cambridge.
Honerton was towards the end of my list as it a fair walk from the city centre.
The grounds look nice but unable to comment as a study place as I do not know anyone that has been there. It would certainly be a bit too far out for my tastes but that may be perfect for someone else.

Went for a conference yesterday , the staff were very friendly and the catering service was top notch. Food were five star quality and the Conference Rooms were well maintained.

Taught Med modules (INSET) 96-7: Nothing wrong with the tutorial support provided by Homerton. My rigorous supplementary teacher training at Cambridge University has definitely expedited my success as an educator in both public and private sectors - specifically work with school exclusions in three pupil referral units.
INSET for teachers on permanent contracts, however, is, perhaps, in my professional judgement, better delivered via much shorter courses - as opposed to longer learning journeys.
If you become a research student (holding a substantial and demanding teaching post), beyond PGCE success, get it right at the admissions stage:)) I do, nevertheless, recommend Homerton College unreservedly!
One final cautionary note: they say Cambridge is one of our best education providers but the cheap, part time, disintegrating, UCIE provision, I sampled, does not compare well with two other better performing Universities on my bilan. Shop around and guard your card!

Wonderful college, and great gym, had a pleasure being there as part time staff and using the gym/catering facilities, with beautiful old fashioned architecture and very friendly, professional staff.
