Never again. I went in with my partner one night and my partner went out the shop to take a phone call and I finished paying for alcoholic beverages, no mention of ID etc. I then went in the next day without my partner and the same staff member that served me the night before was on the til again. I went to the til with 2 cans of lager and he demanded to see ID. I explained to him that he served me the night before without asking for ID and it turned into a heated discussion where another member of staff came onto the shop floor and I had to explain the whole thing over again and the only form of ID I had at that very moment in time was my birth certificate in which they stated would be acceptable so I placed the cans on the counter and removed birth certificate to show the staff when the guy that served me the night before moved the cans and placed them behind the til. I thought nothing of it at first but then when I handed over my birth certificate to the 2nd staff member he looked at it, looked up at me then looked down again and laughed, told me to leave the shop, refused to give me back my birth certificate, called me a liar and then threw my birth certificate into a waste basket behind the counter. The staff in this shop are an absolute disgrace and need to be taught some manners let alone ways to resolve conflicts like this (they could have looked at cctv from the night before but refused). Never again will my toe be put inside the door of this shop again and I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.
