Excellent reliable shop and post office service.
Have a lot of vital and at times unexpected household items (apart from food), ie stationary, phone chargers, toilet unpluggers, even gloves for the cold. They ve gained my highest respect as worked their heads off throughout the COVID crisis and bravedd the risks to provide a vital help for the local Shelford community. Ive now benefited from this versatile store for well over 5 years and even when I just passed by occasionally "urgent" cheap stuff I was always treated with politeness. From reading a few upsetting reviews below I realised with sadness that just like at my job at NHS frontline, this shop gets apparently occasionally very challenging or confrontational visitors. They may not realise that a Post office carries a huge responsibility and legal committment. The vast majority of villagers I witnessed went into this shop/post office with a smile and came out with an even bigger smile!

Grumpy staff on the Post office counter. Many times they have turned members of my family away because their opening times on their poster was out of date. They shut strictly on time and turn away people in the queue, that's not very neighbourly is it. Not impressed at all.

Post office counter seems to serve everyone begrudgingly. I come here regularly and everyone who works here is almost always grumpy.

They would turn me and my packages away even with 5 minutes left before they close the post office counter.

The owner gets annoyed with me when I use the cheaper online Royal Mail Online Postage system because it means he gets paid less on each package. However I need to use it so I have the files saved on my computer.

They are supposed to give you a proof of postage receipt so you know the item has been sent but they can’t be bothered to do it half the time unless you ask them to
.
They also dislike international packages because it takes them slightly longer (heaven forbid).

I have to admit I am sick of this place.
The only reason they have the counter is probably so they can get people to buy from their shop, which only accepts £5 minimum card payment.

Worst in the area
The person is grumpy behind the counter in the post office side
When i went to collect my £150 council tax rebate from post office, immediately he refused it after I handed over the letter.
However, after long conversation, he agreed.
Hilarious.. not sure why he refused and why i had to even go for a long conversation. Careless and lazy guy standing in the post office side taking advantage of being the only one in the neighbourhood. If possible, try to avoid at any cost… the worst one i have seen ever.

Shop is ok…

The best post office I have ever used! I know it sounds silly but I used to be quite nervous to use the services in post offices. This was up until I went to the Post Office at Kash Stores, and everything changed. I have a small business and often take large quantities of mail to be posted in one go. The owners are always so friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. Whenever I go in, they always take the time to ask how I am and process my parcels quickly and accurately. I really cannot recommend the service and the people at Kash Stores enough 😊

The guy at the Post Office saw that I was sending documents to the Passport Office and said that my mail "might be lost" if I didn't use Special Delivery (instead of 1st class Recorded).

I told him that he shouldn't say this because it can be seen as an implicit threat that my documents will be lost unless I buy a more expensive service. He wouldn't have any of it, kept repeating that my important document "might be lost" and insisted he was just doing his job.

I find such tactics deplorable and as this is not the first time, I took my custom elsewhere and he won't be seeing me again.

Always a friendly service but the post office has different opening hours to the shop itself so a bit deceiving. You have to go into the shop to find the PO is closed. I can only get here before or after work. Other shops with POs stay open later. Always an issue

Hello, my name is Lola I just want to say the shop side is ok (despite being tricked a number of times about prices and expiry dates) but the post office side is useless…, they just don’t know how to input a code manually if the scanner isn’t working, I then gave the same parcel to my friend who works for Royal Mail and she mentioned it scanned straight away and doesn’t understand why they had a problem.., I was then offered an opportunity to pay for the postage but it was a falsely advertised return on eBay which is meant to be paid for by the seller themselves! (Sales tactic…)
