This is a dreadful council, intent on forcing people (residents) onto online contact only - so leaving pretty much no way to speak with anyone at the council directly, without an unbelievably long wait, after having going around and around the automated phone system, until you give up or simply choose a random option in the hope of actually speaking to someone. That being said - if you can make contact, the people are normally helpful. DO NOT MOVE HERE - THE PLACE HAS TURNED TO SH!+ OVER THE LAST 10 YEARS

Satisfactory access to Enfield Council Services seems to depend on being able to access the 'Contacted' account. My didn't work, despite going through the registration process sucessfully. So I can't access the Enfield Council Services e.g. to pay my CT or view the account. I reported the problem via their online form but have not received a response after some two months.

So they have deliberately designed it that people can only really access the services via the Contacted portal, and it doesn't work and they don't respond to technical problems i.e. they are avoiding their responsibility to provide services.

Pretty disgusting really.

Waited on the phone for a hour! Automated service has 6 options then 9 options, then more options after that. I finally get through and then get cut off! The reason for the call is due to Enfield council sending me council tax bill for a property i don't own or rent! With such bad service score, it you would think they would sort it out!....

Tried using the website and the coucil tax section where you can print the form is not there.. no pdf attachement!!! SHAMBLES

This is terrible and can cause real problems in the area.. Enfield council is effecting peoples lives and this can cause real issues in the community

Utterly incompetent. It took three months to acknowledge that I'd moved into the borough and for them to issue me a council tax bill. I completed the forms on their website, emailed them directly and spent 40 minutes on the phone to machines with no sign of a person anywhere. Once the bill arrived, I paid my first installment and set up a direct debit for the remaining amount. When the confirmation of instruction arrived, they had failed to adjust the total sum owed to account for the money paid. Not a problem in with any other local authority but as there is no one to speak to and emails go unanswered in Enfield, I am not expecting a swift resolution.

All this council care about is getting your council tax money my property has been empty for nearly 7 weeks and they are insisting on charging me the full council tax bill.there is no waste for them to remove of which they have not done so for 7 weeks and all they can say is that you have to pay your bill in full.how can you charge me for something that you are not doing.
The council tax charge is a complete rip off as people are struggling to pay and even so you get no exemption at all disgusting.

Brilliant council. Does so much for the ungrateful people of the borough and still looks after their long term residents who actually pay the rates in full, on time. The website has lots of access and info, the local council always tries to put on events for everyone. They are very helpful for building issues and able to speak to someone senior quickly when any big problems arise. I've lived in Enfield for twenty years and I've been very happy with the council so far. I do hope I don't eat my words after this review!

It would be nice to speak to a human being, and if you are going to use automated service, please can you get the people that installed it to check it out as it does not work, probably spent a lot of Tax payers money for something that cannot be used. Also can you get the switchboard to answer calls within a certain time frame no one should have to wait over 5 minutes for someone to answer.

Staff seem unhelpful and NO ONE seems to answer the phone even way before Covid-19 this was my experience. How do they expect anyone to comply if no one can contact them in a quick convenient way like phoning or face to face or even via email. So if you need to find out queries on various matters do it weeks even months ahead. ..just so you get ahead start!!!
