Ashfield District Council

Was going to be made homeless, not my fault and I am ill, was worried as heck, the council stepped up and got me a house fast, it will soon be a year that i have been in it, I thank you all at ADC for your help.

They have refused to pay me the council tax rebate for some reason, I'm in band A and on an average income and have lived in the house for several years! Every other house on my street qualifies! I just won't pay the council tax for 2 months to get it back! Disgusting!

Appalling behaviour they will see you on the street and play god. As soon as the dates they should of provided us with accomodation overlapped, which was done internationally by them, they turned nasty and talk to you like dirt so record every conversation you have with them.

They don't care inless your a family member or a friend of one there workers,the way I've been treated by them over the covic etc they made me spend my days walking the street because of DV promising I was on top of the list for two yrs,when the covid calmed down they took me of the top of the list, Knowing about my mental health and DV it would have been easier for them if I topped myself,think there gutted because I didn't ,Wish I could give no stars,let's just hope they or there family members never suffer from DV,saying that it would be a different story then

i have been resident in ashfield for 15 years now and have always found the staff to be polite and helpful,if you treat them as you would have them treat you you will be fine.manners dont hurt anyone,

Went to find out about referral for food bank and visit police station

No matter what I've contacted Ashfield District Council for over the years be it regarding parking tickets, waste disposal and collection or a property and planning query. I have always been dealt with by complete incompetence and general rudeness.

The most unhelpful council I've had the unfortunate chance to come across I'm sorry to say.

That 1 star means no stars.i had to give one to put a review.Adc team disgust me.let me be abused by a man for 2 years. They did nothing except give me diary sheets to fill out. I had sound recording of the man smashing his crutches on his ceiling throughout the nights and shouting then said they will reopen the case. But they didn’t. They let this man carry on terrorising and damaging my car right till the day I moved. They actually took sides with a narcissist and never heard me out. The gaslighting from them and a cpo is appalling and very unprofessional. I had video evidence of him damaging my car and they never delt with it. I was stalked by his cameras and on social media, my phone compromised and they did nothing to help. Worst council to be living under. Quick to take rent from ya but wont help in a crisis..
