I'd never heard of Robin Hood's Stride before, but found it a wonderful place, expansive views over the beautiful countryside, and well worth exploring and scrambling the rocks.
Looks popular with rock climbers; a few were practicing on the vertical rock faces.
There's a hermit's cave to visit not far off the Limestone Way.
The view from the top of the rocks is stunning too. Just countryside for miles! Well worth it!
I would definitely recommend and would go back again for sure.
There are a few ways up around the back which I think is an easy route to walk up rather than go up the front.
It is a great place to visit. It was a little busy when I was there on a Thursday afternoon.
There is no proper parking, except for a small layby on the road called
(Cratcliffe Parking Area) on the B5056 road.
The parking area, which fits about 8 cars. The rocks are about a 15-minute walk from the layby on the road.
Directions Walk from the road until you reach the cattle grid (See Photos). Follow the path up the cattle grid and there is a two gates.
The gate on the left leads to the Robin Hood Stride rocks and the stone circles, and the gate on the right leads to the hermit cave.
The two are not that far apart, to be honest, from each other, but the directions will save you a bit of time.
