Bearpark Colliery Woods

Very wet and muddy but the dog loved it.

Lovely walk just minutes away from durham city by car. Looking over beaurepaire ruins. Brilliant whatever the weather. (Slight incline on a the path downtown ruins is Great fun in the snow!)

Love this little woods, right on the doorstep for me and I've worked in here felling trees.
Great for family walks and nice place to see plenty of wildlife if thats what you're into.

Woofs planted on the site of Bearpark. colliery. Mpre beautiful every year. Some paths unhelpfully churned up by quad and trail bikes but otherwise worth exploring.

Nice area to walk. Look for Fairies with the children . Great dog walking area

Nowhere to sit down but still a great escape to nature. We saw three deer in broad daylight! Clean and dry paths.

Path dry and clean nice walk along wood and open fields. There is a interesting building known here dating back very early.
