This surgery offers the worst service I have known in 40+ years if visiting the dentist. I was told I needed a filling in June 2021. Since then I have had 4 appointments cancelled in which the proposed dental work was to be carried out, each time having only a few hours notice if the cancellation at most. When I did get an appointment with another dentist at the practice supposedly to get the filling I was at in the chair for 30 seconds to be told I needed the same filling but would need to make another appointment and charged £23 for the privilege. I booked a further appointment only to have that cancelled less than an hour before, so 9 months on and repeated bouts of severe toothache I’m still without any treatment. Do not use this surgery

Dental staff and hygienist are absolutely brilliant, can’t fault them at all, but reception staff are rude , abrupt and unwelcoming., especially the new young girl.
Each time Iv been in , she barely lifts her head and barks .. surname ?
That is the most effort she puts in.
If you want to work front desk .. at least smile , greet the patient and show a few more manners.

I personally hate going to the dentist as I’ve been treated poorly in the past by other dentists. The staff here are very friendly and professional. Always make me feel welcomed and any work I have done has always been 10/10

Oh my god! Refused to give me a emergency appointment and told me to ring NHS direct! Off to a new dentist, see you later losers.....

It was very easy to book an appointment over the phone, the receptionist was friendly and informative. On arrival the receptionist was again very friendly and I did not have to wait more than a couple of minutes to see the dentist, Minal, who was very friendly and helpful. I had previously been to a private dentist but found the quality of service here as an NHS patient far better.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Best dental treatment l have ever received. Waleed Khan, the Dentist, provided, on a number of
occasions, pain free, first class dental treatment. He was extremely patient & sensitive to all of my
needs, courteous and professional, as are all the other staff. Any queries Karen Tait, the Manager dealt with immediately & endeavoured to resolve any queries to my satisfaction. Massive thank you and appreciation to all the team at Catshill dental surgery who work relentlessly hard to meet the needs of the patient. JASMINE KAUR.

The dentists and dental nurses are lovely but the reception and admin staff are incredibly hostile and rude. I was almost in tears following my recent appointment. I was shouted at for going to sit down in the waiting room. The receptionist pointed to the wall ‘stay over there.’ I explained that I have arthritis but this was ignored in favour of telling me I hadn’t completed the online forms correctly so I had to it again on my phone. Pretty hard when you are standing up, in pain, juggling a bag and coat (I don’t drive so couldn’t leave it in my car).
Whilst throwing all manner of instructions at me I was shown into a consultation room. A clipboard thrust in my face. I explained I needed somewhere to lean to complete it. At this point I was close to tears and about to leave but the lovely dentist came in. I won’t return unless I am in agony. The dental staff are so nice but the administration staff even knowing I was anxious and in pain from a chronic health condition were so horrible to me I am terrified of going back to have the treatment I need at least until my husband can come with me for support.
Ableist attitudes and a real lack of empathy. Shame I can’t give zero stars.
