I attended this dentist on 12/09/19 with my 5 and 8 year old daughters. I had a pre booked appointment at 14.50 for my 8 year old daughter who had chipped her front tooth. I arrived at 14.40, booked in, which was fine and the receptionist seemed friendly. All was well. However, I was left to wait in the waiting room for 50 mins with no further communication. I approached the receptionist to enquire why the wait was so long and to ask if they had forgotten me. The response/excuse I received was vague. Firstly, I was told by the receptionist (the same receptionist who had just booked me in) that she didn’t know what was going on, then I was told that the computers were down and then that there was some kind of emergency (non of these turned out to be the case). I stated that I didn’t mind the dentist over running slightly but if it’s beyond 10 minutes, patients should be informed or acknowledged out of courtesy. The receptionists response was “well, I didn’t know what was going on or who is in waiting room”. I found this equally concerning, what if there was a fire or emergency? The receptionist wouldn’t know who was on the premises. I later discovered that the receptionists explanation was misleading and the fault was with the the dentist who had decided to call people in randomly. In fact, the people who were called in before me had their appointment booked for 15.00 (10 minutes after me - for the same dentist). I had no apology once I pointed this out. I was made to feel like an inconvenience by a dismissive, obtuse member of staff (dental assistant). Waiting 50+ minutes at this point for a pre booked appointment with no communication is inexcusable.

My main concern at this stage was getting the treatment for my daughter. We eventually got called in and my daughter sat in the chair. We saw a female dentist (Eastern European I think) - she approached my primary school age daughter and asked what the problem was. She gave her some goggles, asked her to open her mouth and proceeded to stick the suction tube and other instruments into her mouth with no reassurance or explanation about what was going to happen. My daughter was visibly distressed and scared. At no point did the dentist or her assistant reassure my daughter in any way. I actually got out of my seat to stand over them to reassure and talk her through the process. It was uncomfortable to watch the lack of compassion. This is the very reason that children develop fears of the dentist. No communication, no customer/patient care and to be honest, just plain rudeness. There was no praise, well done or even a sticker (usually there is) afterwards. I was extremely disappointed with this surgery. I’d like to add, I’ve been a patient here for a number of years but it appears the standards in patient care and competence have dropped dramatically. Such a shame.

I have been patient in this clinic for over 7 years now, and could not be more happy. Before meeting Dr Lilia I was absolutely petrified from dentists, but now I confidently attending appointments. Even my now 4 year old was happy to start his dental check ups, now his fighting me as who's getting first in the chair. Reception staff always welcoming and happy to help. Can't fault this clinic at all.

I have somewhat neglected to visit my dentist on a regular basis until January 2022 when I started to experience excruciating pain and had no choice but to call my local Kings Norton Surgery to make an appointment. I was seen by Dr Yulia Khober who I can't thank enough for all the work she has done to date. Not only did she deal with the initial problem that was causing me pain but proceeded to give me an honest assessment of all items she found that were not right after a number of years of neglect on my part. I was so impressed with her professionalism and style of communication, I wanted to know more about my options to deal with a cosmetic issue (gap) left after I had a tooth extracted years back, Dr Khober was so great in explaining all the options available to me and the costs associated with each option. Never did I feel pressurised to go for one option over another. I’m very grateful for the excellent treatment I have received and would not hesitate for a second to recommend Dr Yulia Khober. The whole course of treatment I have undertaken felt so seamless and surprisingly not painful. In Hein site, perhaps I wouldn’t have neglected seeing past dentists If I had received the same standard of care. My thanks also goes to the staff at the front desk who have always been courteous and friendly and always easy to reach when needing to reschedule visits. Thrilled with treatment overall... Thank you all and especially Dr Yulia Khober
Sincerely yours

Been using this Dentist for several years now, and always have a comfortable experience. Receptionists are welcoming and my dentist, Lilia, is softly spoken and makes you feel very relaxed. I would recommend to anyone, especially if your nervous of the dentist.

I had my appointment yesterday for my complicated wisdom extraction. I was in a fear of pain, but thanks to the nurse and doctor Dr Liliya Khober who accommodated me with an excellent care to ease my fear, the procedure went smoothly. I have been a patient of this Practice for the last 8 years under the care of Dr Liliya Khober, I am grateful for the care I received, she is a highly professional doctor! Equally, I am happy with the care of other health professionals. Admin staff and receptionists are friendly, the nurses are attentive and caring. Thank you. Wishing you all stay healthy and safe.
