I will try and be as balanced as I can, but my recent experience was not what I have come to expect at Dental Essence.
I did expect things to be different as the previous dentist I saw at the practice has unfortunately now left.

I saw the hygienist first, again not the one I am used to seeing, but that was down to me wanting to see the dentist and hygienist one after the other. The lady I saw was very pleasant, but not working in her usual room. I had sympathy with her for this as clearly it would be disorientating, with it being set out differently, (and I was one of the first appointments, so she was still getting to grips with it), and she kept apologising.
She also had to contend with equipment that clearly wasn’t working correctly (the suction machine).

On to the dentist, again - pleasant enough, but there was more talk about what had happened on his weekend than attention to my teeth. I certainly didn’t feel that I’d had as thorough inspection as I’d received before.

Hopefully this will all improve at my next appointment.

Tunde is a fabulous dentist. My 5 year old daughter hops into the chair. He is a real confidence boost and sets a good vibe for her, which is important. Super happy with the thorough exams. Five stars.

I received an emergency appointment yesterday and the receptionist was a very friendly lady, greeted by a very happy smily dentist that was very informative and also polite and gentle. A nice experience and was seen on the day of ringing up. Many thanks

I am very impressed with my efficient new dentist, Saroj, and her friendly, kind, nurse. They put me at ease immediately. My regular check up was thorough. Advice provided and received with thanks. ❤️

I have a fear of the dentist - I always have had but I nevermind going to for my appointments at Dental Essence. All the staff are friendly, efficient and very professional. Kunde is lovely and puts you at completely at ease - I have every faith in him and the service he provides. Thank you for my check up yesterday .. see you in 6 months! 😀

I had a broken tooth with a sharp edge in need of some attention. I called on Wednesday morning and was seen by Bobby later that afternoon.

He was very informative and talked me through the treatment and likely outcomes. He was also concerned that I was in no pain. Although I have not seen Bobby before he treated me more like a friend than a patient, which was very reassuring.

I have been with this practice for many years and have always had good care from them. I hope to be with them for many years to come as they are just so good.

We have been with this dental practice for many years and I've always been impressed with their appointment booking processes, the quaility of dentists and hygienists and the cleanliness of the premises. The few dental emergencies we;ve had have always been dealt with promptly and efficiently.

I'm glad we have them!

Dental Essence recently took over the practice I had been with for over 40 years in Haywards Heath. Under the DE group banner the service has suffered. The remaining receptionists are friendly but the dental services are now more “corporate” aimed at selling more expensive & cosmetic treatments. I continued going there for 2 years and every time I am made to wait nearly 30 minutes after my appointment time. It’s infuriating when taking time off work. My new dentist frightened me by making me think I had awful teeth suddenly after a lifetime of perfectly fine teeth, and I needed extensive (expensive) work. However, a year later at my next check up, all was fine. How could that be? Then the dentist left and I got allocated another random one. Same old story. Annual check up has gone from £32 or so to over £60 with a 30 minute wait. I’m never going back.
