Thank you to the lovely practice manager at the Smile centre . After my blood pressure dropped after teeth extraction, she was so kind , understanding and empathetic whilst sitting with me during what felt like a scary time . Am sure she helped to normalise the blood pressure. The dental nurse was also lovely and oral surgeon very efficient . Lovely receptionist gave me a chair to sit outside while taxi came . You do get the impression that they are very busy .. but kind of expect that in most dental practices.

I broke a tooth and Nuwanthi Nanson did an amazing job she completely rebuilt it and it looks like a proper tooth and feels completely normal, I found her caring, great sense of humour. All round great dentist. Thanks

Went to the dental practice today for a filling .The dentist I would normally see is leaving there. So did see a new young dentist .I am not the easiest person to treat very nervous at the best of times but seeing a different dentist more so .But was made so welcome by the young new dentist who is very professional and extremely caring all the time while doing the dental treatment. Also the dental nurse was very helpful and kind.
Thank you both so much for making my trip to the dentist less stressful.

Really have a phobia about dentist, heard all the horror stories about having wisdom teeth removing, worst part was the needles, after that NEVER felt a thing didn’t know the tooth was out until dentist told me, really made me feel at ease. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

I’ve been to the dentist today and am in middle of a course of treatment. I am a very nervous patient but the dentist, Beth, and nurse, Leah, have been so calm and reassuring on every visit. They have really gone above and beyond, especially with working throughout the pandemic. If I could nominate them for a national award for caring and professionalism I would gladly to so. Sarah on reception also deserves a special mention but I find them all really helpful and responsive. I think dental practices like this have been under appreciated during the pandemic but I am really grateful they have been there. Thank you.

Honestly couldn't ask for a better dental practice. I am always greeted by the friendly receptionists which really helps if your a little nervous about going. When I'm in the waiting room staff always say hello when walking through and the dentist explains things clearly to me when I'm in the chair. The dental nurses always make sure I'm comfortable prior to and during dental work and my dentist always gives me opportunity to ask questions about procedures; giving me great advice on looking after my teeth in between visits.

If zero stars was only an option. I would never wish my experience at the Smile Centre on anyone and due to that I will never step foot on their premises again. I was referred for a complex impacted wisdom tooth extraction which understandably due to Covid I waited months for an appointment. My initial consultation was absolutely horrific - the 'specialist' didn't even say hi or greet me upon entering and just told me to take a seat. Questioned why my dentist couldn't take the tooth out and 'did I really need sedation'. Had the specialist read my referral form rather than scanning through as I entered, he would have been aware of my phobia of needles and nervousness around dentists. His only priority was time and wanted me in and out as quick as possible. Despite sitting there upset and shaking in fear, I was shown no support or reassurance from him. The specialists statement on the website says “My priority is to ensure patients are happy and satisfied with their treatment. I accomplish this by listening to my patients; providing a professional, friendly and relaxed environment" - this couldn't be further from the truth!! I have never met someone in the profession that has had no common courtesy and no care for a very nervous patient. On the day, I sat with my mum in the waiting room where he walked through and blanked us both, on more than one occasion. I was handed leaflets will little explanation, handed forms to sign with regards to a less than 1% chance of permanent numbness but again not reassured or given an opinion as to whether he felt it was safe to remove the tooth or not. He also spoke to his staff in a rude manner as my prescription for antibiotics didn't state the amount and when the nurse question it he shouted 'well the pharmacy will know so it's fine!' - rude is an understatement. From what I expected to be a difficult procedure, I half expected some level of support and reassurance and instead it turned into an absolute nightmare! I do not recommend this specialist to anyone. Absolutely atrocious.

I can’t praise the team, and especially my dentist enough. She fitted me in for an emergency extraction today( 26/2/21) and I believe that because the procedure was so good, I now have practically no pain at all, having taken a couple of paracetamols 😊. I’m a very nervous patient and my dentist, and the staff answering my calls, have all been amazing- reassuring me and always returning calls. Brilliant care and customer service. Thank you, Lesley
