I have nothing but praise for everyone at Star Dental, as a certified wimp when it comes to dental treatment I can honestly say that everyone at the practice puts you at your ease. The ladies on reception are all lovely and very efficient, - on the odd occasion I've had an emergency they did their utmost to get me a quick appointment. Over the years , apart from routine check-ups and fillings I have had root canal work, an extraction and teeth whitening and all have been expertly dealt with. Louise is a brilliant dentist I would recommend to anyone , explaining the treatment and even making a nervous patient like me calm. Zoe has dealt with other members of my family with quite complicated orthodontic problems.- wonky teeth you would never think could be fixed are now perfectly straight and beautifully white whilst still looking natural-The teeth whitening treatment is fantastic and has made such a difference. The building itself is very nice too. Our family could not be happier with the excellent service Star Dental provide.

I wanted to write this review in case it helps others who, like me, are nervous about visiting the dentist. I had bad experiences as a child, something which affected my trust in dental practices for many years. A couple of weeks ago I visited STAR DENTAL CARE in Thirsk and was told I needed a small cavity filling (I have been coming here for a few years now). To be honest I've been quite lucky with regard to work needing to be done so I thought 'well, that's not so bad'. Today I went for the treatment. I have to say that the whole process was handled so well, from arriving to leaving all the staff were great. But I want to talk about my dentist, Sally and the job she did with the help of her assistant Davina. Sally was so gentle and very assuring, explaining the process as we went along. The numbing on the gum was amazing, I wondered if she had started but then she had suddenly finished? The work on the tooth was also very gentle and I felt comfortable throughout, which is something to say the least! I cannot praise Sally and Davina enough, and now i have a perfectly healthy tooth with a nice white filing. As for the prices, I know some think they are high, I can only compare to other services. Call a plumber out for a small repair and you will find not much change from £100, so when you consider the extensive training, and skill the dentist shows then fillings are not so unreasonable! I feel lucky to have found STAR DENTAL CARE, I guess there are lots of great dentists out there but I will continue to drive the 22 miles from my home in York to the practice in Thirsk. I would recommend STAR to anyone.

Excellent dental practice! I originally attended the practice to visit the hygienist, I then moved to Star Dental for all my dental treatment - the best decision I have ever made!

I find appointments always run on time and the communication is fantastic. The reception personnel are professional and incredibly helpful.

The dentist Zoe is absolutely brilliant - super efficient, friendly and professional. My children attend the practice now and I particularly like how Zoe takes the time to explain exactly what she will be doing, so they know what to expect, to put the children at ease.

I visited Star Dental Care today for an emergency appointment and I couldn't be happier with both the welcome and service I received.

Having not been able to get on a dental roll for some years I was slightly nervous about my visit.

I'm delighted to say that the team quickly recognised the cause of my dental issues, advising me on a recovery plan in a non judgemental way which filled me with confidence and made me at ease. The dentist who saw me today even went the extra mile to ensure I have the ongoing treatment needed to address my issues.

I highly recommend this dental practice to anyone looking for a first rate service in North Yorkshire area.

Was referred to this practice by 111, and have been so happy with my treatment here. I've been scared of going to the dentist for a really long time, but pain made it clear I'd been putting off the inevitable for far too long. I can't remember the name of the dentist who saw me, but he and the dental nurse were both really lovely, nonjudgmental, reassuring, and after 3 appointments at my own pace have renewed my confidence after a number of traumatic tooth-related incidents as a kid, so thank you to both of them!

Been there for a tooth extraction and both the doctor and the assistant have been brilliant,I never liked going to the dentist but I think that applies to everyone but I can say this time it's been really easy everything than how I thought is gonna be and I would gladly recommend them to anyone 😊

Made an appointment for a loose tooth to be removed on the Monday 12th December, had my impression done on the Tuesday the 13th December and had my new teeth fitted on Wednesday 14th December, Brilliant service, Lovely staff, being a new patient not from Thirsk, was very pleased with the outcome 😀 Highly recommend this Dental Practice.

I went to this dentist as was sent by 111 the dentist was friendly and very professional had two teeth out in less than 5 minutes really recommend also took me on as patient as my old dentist was 70 miles away
