When I was told about being referred to a specialist I asked would that be a private dentist. Answer was: Yes, so I asked if any NHS specialist I could see I was told Yes

After being told I was getting referred to a specialist I ended up with the same dentist that put the three fillings in that I have had nothing but trouble with since he put them in O and he's NOT! a specialist,

Wasted Three appointments and they did nothing to the point I was in so much pain had to travel over twenty miles to have a temporary filling put in that has been a lot more satisfactory than any of the other fillings that this practise done,

Talk to the manager just remember if you talk about her staff Use Names and not He/she as SHE may pull you up on it,

Update: since spoke to the manager who denies saying what I was told by the dental nurse on the desk, about the three witnesses but it has been documented by two dentists I was looking for a guarantee on the work, This I never asked for,
If a dentist thinks they need to refer you then good on that dentist rather than hacking away,
Not sure what qualifications the manager has to then say that dentist is capable when the dentist had doubts,

Today 6/1/14 had a temp filling today fell out It fell out three hours or so later :(

I already had an appointment but was in a lot of pain due to a dental abscess. I went to the surgery 10 minutes before opening and was first in.
I explained my problem to the receptionist and was seen by a very polite dentist within 5 minutes, checked and issued with antibiotics which, a day later, have reduced the abscess and almost dealt with pain already
I will go back for the appointment to finish the treatment

They were polite and quick and I can't praise them highly enough.

I had a filling with a dentist in this surgery some time ago, and left feeling like my mouth had been attacked by a butcher. There were sharp bits of tooth sticking in my mouth where he had hacked away at it, and as I left my gums were bleeding. About a year later I had real problems with the tooth he filled. I returned to the surgery when I couldn't bear the pain anymore, and was suddenly placed with a new dentist (I assume my old one is now gone). The new dentist in all fairness is outstanding. He x rayed my mouth and identified the problem, removed the old filling and refilled it, No fuss, no pain, and very professional. I was on the verge of registering with another surgery, however, they seem to have got their act together and I have nothing but good things to say about my recent experience there

Like the previous lady I had an awful experience.( I had no choice but to use the ground d floor dentist as I have difficulty with mobility). I couldn't open my jaw as there was an abscess where both skull and jaw meet. the the male dentist shouted at me to open my mouth several timesbut, apart from approximatehalan inch I couldn't. So after injecting to try to numb the area right where the abscess was he tried prizing my jaw apart. He then said he was going to cut open my face to get the abscess out, the problem was where he wanted to cut was no where near the site, by the time he finished shouting at me I couldn't wait to get out. I managed to get an appointment with my GP the following day who promptly sent me to the p.o.w. hospital and ended up an in -patient . Now the name of the dentist surgery has changed I'm wondering are they the same people. His attitude spoils it for the other dentists

They don't seem to have receptionists capable of answering their phones.
When I eventually did manage to get an appointment the dentist was very abrupt, hardly spoke and didn't even bother to introduce himself.
Very unprofessional feel about the whole practice.

I've had a fantastic experience here and I'm very thankful to the dentist Mr Andre Luiz for doing my daughters dental work and my dental work with minimum discomfort. Mr Luiz , the dental nurse and staff are always very pleasant and polite . Mr Andre took time to speak and answer all my questions .

I have nothing but praise for the team at Bridgend Dental Centre. Our whole family is treated her. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
We have been to a great many dentists and l can say that none have measured up to the professionalism of the staff at this place.
