I called the clinic to book an appointment for extractions after having a consultation last week. My dental case is not straight forward and I needed to get certain medical queries clarified before going ahead with this lengthy and expensive treatment. I was prepared to pay the deposit and needed my serious medical concern about a sinus lift resolved, or at least some effort to help me know where I stood medically in the first place. (A quick email or call could have been arranged with the treating specialist).
Damien didn’t listen to me at all in the first place! All he was interested in was getting the £250 deposit. When I asked him few times to give me a chance to explain the situation and give him the bigger medical picture and my human concerns, he abruptly cut me off, sarcastically ranting and wouldn’t give me any chance to give any details about a sinus lift or any other medical questions I had. We got to the point that I couldn’t take his rudeness and shocking manners any longer, I was profoundly flabbergasted to experience so unprofessional attitude and detachment from helpful customer care.
How can people of this nature end up working for a professional private health care establishment?
All the efforts of his colleagues including the implantologist have come to nothing. I potentially needed at least 4 implants but I can’t trust the team, who put people on the front line of the company that are totally disconnected with the health care needs of the patients. His attitude was absolutely unacceptable in a health care environment.
Just called the practice to enquire my callback (regarding my rearranged appointment) a call which I didn't receive and to ask any questions I had i.e. the clinic now closes earlier than the practice hours on the website?
....and omg, please do yourself a favour and avoid this clinic! Honestly, save yourself money, time and being mocked by the Luton practice manager Damien Edwards over the phone. TRUST the bad reviews!
I mean I don't even find it worth my time to retype how bad the Luton manager Damien's ill manners, aggressive behaviour and utter rudeness is, as explained by the other 1 star reviews!
It's crazy how he contradicted himself to be blaming me for being aggressive, rude - but when truthfully he spoke over me, mockingly spoke to me in a cocky, demeaning way, very casual-- then hung up on me TWICE!
When you ask for contact details higher up - they are not provided except being addressed to their practice address (where the complaint will obviously get passed to Damien and then discarded or directly go to him and then get discarded).
I am going to citizens advice bureau as it was very bad especially for a practice manager to speak to anyone and treat them in such a disgusting way. He should not be a manager or should be monitored and retrained - he's definitely making a bad impact on Perfect Profiles and losing customers.
I was looking to fully move to this practice -- DEFINITELY NOT ANYMORE!
I had to quote another review, Dante's review - as he explained it 100% true as well (oh the other 1 star reviews were true too!):
"AVOID! When I spoke with their Luton Manager, Damien. He was VERY rude and verbally abusive.
Their Manager spoke over me, would not allow me to speak and when I tried to explain that his behaviour was down right out of order he laughed at me then he began insulting my character and me as a person because I had a problem with his behaviour. He continued to rant and he would not stop.
I am shocked. I still can not believe that a Manager of a health clinic actually gets away with treating their patients like that.
If I could give my review less than 1 star I would. I do not recommend that anyone uses this dentist. Go get your implants elsewhere, or overseas."
AVOID! So shocked, disappointed and appalled.
