High Oaks Dental Practice

Absolutely ABYSMAL dental practice. It’s been going downhill for a long time and the staff turnover is incredibly high, which speaks volumes. You never see the same dentist twice and I’ve had appointments cancelled on me at the last minute. Today I was 5 minutes late for an appointment with my 3 young children. When I arrived the receptionist was on the phone and didn’t greet me in any way or acknowledge my existence - very poor. Finally after 10mins of standing there, she asked me to fill in an online form and halfway through told me I had to choose whether myself or my children would be seen. They have a zero grace period, so if you’re 5 mins late that’s your appointment gone! However, they were very happy to keep me waiting. The practice manager dental nurse is rude and sarcastic. When I explained we’d waited months for our appointment (they cancelled the previous one the hour before we were due to be seen) she was disinterested and rolling her eyes at me. Good luck to anyone who chooses to go here, we walked out and I’m now registered at a different dentist who are absolutely wonderful. They aren’t good with kids either - if you dare to ask a question, you get the bare minimum of information as they are always pushed for time. Avoid.

I have just completed the replacement of existing veneers (originally fitted due to an accident) that needed renewing on my front upper teeth at High Oaks. I am delighted with the result. The time taken to understand what I hoped to achieve and ensure I was getting the result I wanted was fantastic. I have ended up with a far better cosmetic result than I had before and that I thought could be accomplished. They are competitively priced and really make you feel like they care. Thank you to the High Oaks team.

I have recently used the practice for teeth whitening and I am extremely impressed with the service of the dentist and the results. I opted for the £300 package that includes a 2 week check-up and I am very happy with the outcome. Everything was explained and the after care has been excellent

Best dental hygienist in St. Albans - Lucy at High Oaks is wonderful and has really helped resolve my gum problems with excellent deep cleans. She is always so gentle and effectively renews my teeth and gums - she is super lovely and welcoming too, highly recommended ;-)

Real shame that I have just had to call and take myself off the books of this dentist! 4 years of great work completed by Leena, previous dentist. She then left the practice and I was seen by Manisha, (2 weeks ago) who was so rude and told me my dental hygiene was ‘disgusting’ after reading my notes from Leena knowing I had a terrible trauma 5 years ago and was so concerned about my mouth. I also have been unable to brush teeth properly as the teeth as loose but no care about that. I was also told I would need to wait 2 weeks for a replacement tooth and that I would loose the tooth when impressions were made. I have just left a new dentist this evening who saved my tooth and have sorted all the work out and understood the reasons for my teeth being the way they are. I even offered to pay private at high oaks but Manisha was not fussed and almost looked down at me. Such a shame as high oaks could have made a lot of money from myself.
Reception team are so wonderful and supportive, it’s such a shame 1 dentist can give a patient so much anxiety and no support.

I have been using this Practice for some years. I have always found all the staff welcoming , attentive and professional in all my interactions with them. I have used their Dentists and their Hygienists and have been pleased with the treatments I received.

I came for a hygienist appt which went extremely well.
I was greeted by the receptionist then attended my hygienist appt on time.
At the end I paid my bill and left.
All went well thank you High Oaks Dental Practice.

My daughter was always afraid of the dentist and came away today after her first visit to High Oaks so happy ! Thank you so much for being kind and patient with the little ones
